NO FEAR / NO STRESS / MORE A'S / MORE FUN
While Kick Ass in College is irreverent and laugh-out-loud funny, Gunnar Fox is out for more than his readers' laughter: he wants their full attention and commitment to his "kick-ass" study techniques and life strategies.
In addition to providing a blueprint for classroom success and preparing students for the highly competitive job market that awaits them, this instant college classic tackles relationships, substance abuse and many other real-world issues, all with Gunnar's trademark combination of raucous humor and bone-chilling candor.
What will students take away from Kick Ass in College?

Gunnar Fox has a great voice and a very motivational way of speaking...it's not just in his message, it's in the delivery too. I purchased this book to see if I wanted to give it to my step-daughter who is stuggling in her sophmore year of college, not grade wise, but motivation wise, she's not enjoying her college experience and I was looking for something to help her out of her slump. I will definitely be giving her a copy to help her out :)))))
But if you want to save yourself the burden of buying and listening to the book the main point is to study and read the textbooks of your classes. I personally don't agree with his dietary tips. I'm sure that there is scientific evidence to support his hypotheses about the benefits of good eating habits and how all that jazz makes you that much more effective as a learner, but what would college be without beer, pizza, chicken wings, ramen noodles, and tons of coffee? Especially those 99 cent totinos or jenos pizzas; man that is a dietary staple for college students. But otherwise it is a good listen and it possesses a large amount of useful information, and maybe some or all of it is now plugged into my subconscious memory and it will positively change my life.
The author and reader is passionate about his message.
This book is for students - not adults or parents. Its a heart to heart and very frank discussion about what YOU will DO to make it at college. This books cuts through the noise and gives no nonsense advice. And the humor is pretty good too!
