Crucial relationship knowledge.
I love Iyanla and I loved hearing her narrate her own book. She makes you feel like she's your best friend sitting beside you, holding your hand and loving you through your "stuff".
That relationships need to be recognized for what they are and that there is nothing wrong with a "meantime" relationship.
This woman speaks directly to my heart and I am always enlightened and profoundly changed by her work.
Such an easy listen and engaging topic, will recommend to everyone I know who struggles or has struggled in relationships but truly wants to reach their highest potential.
Enjoyed the book, enjoyed hearing it read by the author.
The only disappointing thing is that the audio verison is not the complete book. I have the book and as i would listen at work and read at home i saw that some parts weren't included in the audio. Other than that its sound advice. It has helped me to further expand my understanding of the concept of love and self love.
I've always loved this book!
Solid points on taking responsibility for our own lives.
Brilliant stories to support Iyanla's wisdom.
My only disappointment was that it wasn't longer. I feel like a lot of the content from the paper copy was missing.
Iyanla guides you through her memories with such precision, you almost feel as if you are there. She is brutally honest about her own perception of herself. This honesty help me to be honest with myself also. Her voice is smooth when it needs to be and yet she is able to draw the real emotion out in the most important moments.
This book has been like my relationship Bible. Putting the principles into practice has transformed my life. Iyanla's honesty about her own meantime experiences helped remove my judgment of my own. I can truly say that I now come from a place of love. Thank you Iyanla!!!
Absolutely. It helps you understand why you feel in certain ways, and from there, how to move forward in you emotional healing process.
I do not have the experience to make a comparison.
The understanding, calm and soothing voice of the narrator makes you feel that part of comfort that is maybe impossible to put from yourself as if you're reading such a book it is because you do not feel well. Sometimes you need the calming voice of someone else.
It made me say "ahà" and "wow" a lot of times. :-) Very enlightening.
I would very appreciate if you make available the audiobook of "Forgiving everyone for everything" by Mrs. Vanzant.
