Bethenny Frankel, four-time New York Times best-selling author, self-made businesswoman, and media maven, offers her hard-won guidance on dating and relationships in the tradition of her breakout book, A Place of Yes.
Bethenny is good at many things - being an entrepreneur, a mom, and a TV star - but when it comes to relationships, she is the first to admit that she has had many failures. The good news is that in working through the mistakes, she has already learned many things about what she doesn't want, that she won't accept, and that she shouldn't settle for. And most importantly she still believes in love and that her perfect relationship is still to come.
Filled with a mix of candid personal stories and the no-nonsense advice she's known for, I Suck at Relationships so You Don't Have To is the next step on Bethenny's A Place of Yes journey. This is an audiobook by someone who has made many relationship mistakes and knows a thing or two because of it. Bethenny takes a deep look at her own dating and relationship history and gets to the heart of the mistakes women make and what it takes to find and sustain a meaningful connection. Look for Bethenny's take on hot topics such as: understanding your man; the do's and don'ts of dating; how to trust your gut; and much more.
Despite all her relationship disasters, Bethenny remains an optimist; she keeps going, keeps trying, and continues to open her heart to love. She holds that failure ultimately adds up to something, and in the end all mishaps are stair steps to a greater success.

I am a HUGE Bethenny fan so I was hoping to hear more of her witty, snarky voice when reading the book. It was a bit of a let down. The content of the book was enlightening at times and filled with great tips but could drag on in some sections.
Honestly, she sounds as if she's just running that mouth of hers, the kind of chatter that beckons one to 'zone out'. Wanted a book on relationships that was a 'light read' yet informative and entertaining. This sadly, wasn't it. It seemed like the best out of Bethenny's array of audiobooks and it probably is... which is dismal at best.
Overall is good, entertained, easy to listen. The voice was a little monotonous and flat. Maybe a little more of expression on the voice may make it more enjoyable.
Bethenny gives great advice while keeping things light. I love hearing what she has to say. She really breaks everything down and I find her advice very helpful! This book is a great read for anyone, in or not in a relationship. Married or not.
I find this book to be a great self-awareness check for the modern thinking woman. Also, a straight forward but productive pep talk for those of us who have not been in a relationship in awhile and/or haven't quite cracked the code to dating but remain excited about love. I have listened, and will listen, to this book several times as a sort of motivational speaker that speaks to my inner dizzying complexity of emotions and thoughts and tells that part of me to relax and "let it breathe". I dig!!
A lot of the points have already crossed our minds, but the author does such a good job of making them a discussion to help explore your thoughts, emotions, and situation. She is incredibly respectful of women to the extent that I felt more empowered while listening to her!
Bethenny is a genuine girl's girl!!! That enables her to coach you through any stage of your relationship with this book! I appreciate the continuous authenticity she brings us!
