It worked for me the first night however I didn't have a follow up CD and didn't read the book as instructed so I don't know if I was to have the surgery again and again.
His voice brought one of the most amazing sessions I had ever had.
I hope this book helps people. The audiobook should be in 2 parts, one part for the first time listener and the other part for the recommended continued listening.
Very good presentation. I have had gastric bypass surgery, so this has helped me maintain my weight loss and also helped me to drop the last 20lbs.

Based on this book, I don't think it would be worth it to try any other books by McKenna.
I could have been told beforehand that there was some sort of text involved and where to find it prior to purchasing the audio.
This is a completely fraudulent concept. I guess I should have known better but it confirmed that these sorts of books are not worth it.
"Cannot rate this highly enough."
IT WORKS! I started using this audiobook and then, seeing the results my husband joined me. Without any effort [honestly] my husband and I are gently loosing weight without feeling hungry. Our diet has changed but purely our choices, they have changed naturally, we haven't cut anything out to aid dieting and deprived ourselves.
People keep saying we look well and the 'diet' must be working, the hardest thing to convince people is that it is not a conscious diet change, after listening to the audiobook, the changes come naturally. Now, we never feel deprived or decide not to have a cake because it's fattening, if we want it we have it [and we do] because overall our diet is so much better and our portions are automatically under control.
I have not listened to any other of Paul McKenna's other works but if I needed help I would definitely turn to him first.
My husband is diabetic and the change in diet has caused him to discover a food which was causing him problems and his life has been improved tremendously because of this.
After a lifetime of dieting and being various weight's, it is wonderful to have the need to think about what I should and shouldn't have to eat taken away, we are eating healthily and it shows.
I tried, the I can make you thin hypnosis before this. I loved the theory behind the techniques but it did not really work for me.
This was very different. I found from the first listen, my appetite dropped right off. I no longer think about food, diets or weighing myself all the time. However I did lose two pounds in the first week. Since then I am enjoying my food, eating slowly and the *need* to snack in between meals has gone. I also seem to crave lots of healthier alternatives, such as fruit and raw veggies.
I eat what I want, when I want. I just don't each as much and my portions are smaller.
I no longer weigh myself but my clothes are looser and I feel great.
I listen to the trance once a week but would recommend following the guidelines set down when you first start the program.

"Audible Version on ipad app"
Excellent course as usual from Paul McKenna. Alas it does not come in the stereo which would be nice for the dual suggestions (where Paul says different things to the left and right sides of the brain). It is still ok and the suggestions will go in as one. I got this with my audible credit and consider it well worth it despite the mono audio. Download the booklet, which you need to read a couple of times before doing the "op" , to your ipad by going to the actual Audible website ( using Safari) . It is there in your library. Click on the pdf and then you can choose to download/open in ibooks, Kindle, Evernote etc
Would highly recommend! After just one listen, your hunger drops and the more you listen, the less hungry you feel. Wish this could be in stereo though, so that you could hear the different voices, the way they are meant to be heard!
Paul's voice is wonderfully relaxing....well worth the credit!
"Worked for me"
I bought the audio book in January and listened to it immediately. I found that there was no real change to my portion size but there was a considerable reduction in the overall amount I ate each the day. I decided to wait 6 months to do the review and during that time I listened to the hypnosis part about once a week. I have lost just over 2 stone in that time. This weight loss has been achieved with very little effort on my part. I am aware of what I eat, but I don't count calories. I feel that the weight loss is sustainable - unlike other diets I have tried. I find that I am only interested in food if I am actually hungry and I now have very little interest in sweet food.
Listening to the hypnosis is an integral part of the process. I downloaded the information sheet which was fine and I also bought the book which came with a CD of the hypnosis. I felt that I needed to do a bit more reading than the downloaded information provided. I have been pleasantly surprised that the audio book did what it said it would. Although I've listened to the hypnosis over twenty times, I've never heard the entire recording as I seem to drift in and out of awareness. This doesn't seem to have made much difference to the end result.
I have recommended this book to a number of people who have commented on my weight loss. I have been surprised by how well it has worked but have no doubt that my weight loss is solely the result of listening to the hypnosis and following the advice in the book.
"It's really working!"
I listen to this most nights before I go to sleep although you don't need listen that often but I find it helps if I do, I've stopped snacking and ive not craved wine all week and that's unheard of for me! I normally eat and snack on and of all day but not this week plus lost 4 lbs . I can't recommend this enough but one thing I would say is don't start until you feel your ready to loose weight.
"Download in "Enhanced" option"
Other reviews have mentioned this isn't in stereo and impacts the effectiveness of the hypnosis as different voices are supposed to be heard in the left and right ear. I have overcome this by downloading into my iTunes using the Enhanced audio quality option. This is done by clicking on "expand" button in your library going to "download", in this window there is a button to the top right "audio quality", click the drop down menu for enhanced. This rectified the problem completely.I have just started this and can feel myself getting full very quickly. Will have to update on weight loss later.
"Working so far"
I have been listening to this for a week now and can say, so far so good. I feel in tune with my body and am more aware of whether or not I am actually hungry, I have been drinking more water and feel happier in myself. I know it's early days but I feel confident and choose healthy foods instead of craving junk like I used to. Try it, you have nothing to lose.
"7 pounds in the first week"
I listened to the first chapter everyday for a week. Then I listened to the second chapter, and it was relaxing but I didn't think it really did anything. I did it again the next day and honestly slept through all but the ending and I did not want to wake up as told. 5 days later, I am seriously craving fruits and really have no desire to snack on fatty foods or anything full of sugar. It is something I think you have to do over and over. Listen to it before bed. It will help you sleep if nothing else. But I would recommend this to anyone. Just don't expect instant changes, a bit at a time.
