There are about 3 minutes of instruction and guided imagery in this book (the narrator has a lovely voice at least) followed by about 4 bars of "soothing" music looped over and over for an hour. Then 40 seconds of credits. That's it.
I've listened to a few beginner meditation guides and this is one of my favorites now. Love the narration, the voice sounds wise and calm. The meditation is easy to do and I found myself feeling like a meditation expert just by how seamless the directions and steps were.
The narrator's voice was perfect for this meditation. His voice was soothing. I could picture this meditation being conducted by him on a hilltop somewhere, surrounded by only nature.
I think I will also try this meditation on my own without listening to the audio. However, I like the direction and the narration, so I will be listening to the audio version again.
Yes! The print version would be harder to follow along as you would need to read it first and them do the techniques mentioned. With the audio version, you're able to close your eyes and allow yourself to be guided. No experience required for this one, it's a great one.
