Publisher's summary

Arnold Bennett was an English novelist and author. Among his most popular novels are The Grand Babylon Hotel and Anna of the Five Towns. However, none of his novels approached the popularity of his little book, How to Live on Twenty-Four Hours a Day. It caused a sensation when first printed and continues to be printed and widely read today.

In it, he offers practical advice on how one might live (as opposed to just existing ) within the confines of 24 hours a day. Bennett shows his readers how to live life to the fullest, given that there are 24 hours in a day and always so much to do.

old but good

This book was written a long time ago so a lot of the examples are...well...old fashioned. That being said the basic ideas about how to get the most out of your time on this earth are excellent. Reading was good, too.

A bit dated but still.....

Many of the examples in this book are dated but the ideas and overall theme are excellent. This could be a life changing book.

Amusing bit of antiquated thinking

This was the beginning of the time management mania. The advice is dubious, particularly about sleep and medical suggestions for the day. But it's amusing and gives a glimpse into early 20th century London. The reader is adequate and a bit robotic.

Dated material

The dated materials and examples lost my interest and left me feeling short changed. Granted it could have been my state of mind but Dale Carnegie is excellent in comparison

what did I just listen to?

I didn't understand what he was talking about. Maybe it was the narrator; I was really trying to listen, but kept zoning out. I didn't learn anything at all and not sure if anything was even taught. disappointed.

Very dated

Wish I would have read reviews prior to purchasing. Felt like homework reading this very dated writing. Falls short for me.
