The book is a summary of key points for building good habits and self-discipline. There are a lot of examples of eating healthy and losing weight as a lot of people can relate to that. Some tips are obvious, like replace candies with fruits or don't go shopping when you're hungry. There are also suggestions for small changes, like meditate for a minute or exercise for five minutes and build on that over time. The hardest part is getting started. If you can make it a habit to do something good, however small, it will get the momentum rolling to do more over time.
One of the first books that should be read by this author. it explains so much about the role dopamine plays in willpower and finally dispels the myth that willpower is a finite resource.
As a person who struggles with temptation and impulses I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can use and practice what's in it. I recommend repeated listening though to solidify what's gleaned. narration was clear and there were spots of humor I enjoyed and found refreshing. recommend you buy this one.

I got the book a week ago and I have lessened to it 3 time and have taken notes.
Towards the end of the book he list 7 traps that can slip you up and then after explaining them he gives you ways to get around them. Some of these are blind spot that I didn't even think about before going thru this book.

This book is not long and not expensive. If this is an area that you think you need help or guidance in its worth a shot.
I loved how the author spoke and how he explains all he was and is and how much this CAN BE a reality. .I will absolutely listen again and my husband is now also wanting to listen after I told him about it..
