I can't say enough about how much I appreciate listening and relistening to this recording. Jack Kornfield uses humor, insight, and great compassion to put words to whatever disaster has occurred in your life. He then gently guides the listener through a series of mediations that help to inspire, strengthen and provide perspective. He says that it isn't a self help book, but help it does. The author provides a new way of viewing the world and teaches a set of coping skills that really make a difference. The narration is centered, evenly paced and calming. The content is humane and kind. Highly recommended listening.
This is exactly what we need for those times when our heart is breaking; or when our life is crumbling around us. His gentle voice is like balm to help us get through the painful times when those closest to us betray and deeply hurt us. He is the light when it seems as if the world is just not fair.

Great meditations, not really great for the car driving experience, better for home and stillness, but still his words are so inspiring.
My "go to" for grounding. Jack Kornfield is an expert in his field and is truly a favorite in my house!
Haven't read the print version
Kornfield is very wise and calm, with an unsusally soothing voice.
Yes, they are all good.
I've been through these meditations now two times with a meditation group. About 3 years apart, and they have been very well received by all the meditators. a wonderful book for difficult times or making the best of good times
