A great book to get the feel of meditation for the first time. I have tried to meditate on my own and with this book it has helped me breakthrough and move in a positive direction.
The actual guided meditation on this book is wonderful - the program is well thought out and very effective. The narrator's voice works well with the material.
I've used this program before bed and on plane trips, and it's perfect for relaxing in either setting.
I like the fact that there is no music to find yourself liking or disliking. The words are clear, the practice is easy and the results are wonderful.
Bodhi Paksa's calming voice transmits such tranquility, serenity and kindness, that I feel deeply affected (in the best way..) every time I listen to it. He has the ability to guide me into deep relaxation, acceptance and peace, and he transmit his message in a way that it appears new and fresh and moving every time. I am so happy I got this!!!! Use this multiple times per week. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a meditation guide.
A geat guided meditation, with the narrator, and no background music, so quite different to other guided meditations. He has a soothing voice and I like the structure of the meditation, as the first one is about loving kindness to yourself, someone you care about, a neutral person, and someone that you are not so fond of, then bringing it all together at the end. I find it quite a powerful meditation, good to not just focus on oneself. The second meditation is a walking meditation, which is also teaching mindfulness and being in the present moment.

Get a softer soothing voice to narrate the book.
I would add some relaxing sound such as wáter.
This was the first meditation CD I used that didn't have music in the background, and I was excited to begin. However, I was quickly disappointed. It was very dull. I found myself nodding off to sleep even though I was sitting straight up in a chair.

I really like Bodhipaksa's voice; its pace and tone is ideal for a meditation CD. However, I find the CD is too heavy on the guided part. Not a minute goes past before you are given another instruction. Feel the meditation experience would be enhanced for the listener if more time was allowed between new ideas. It is unrealistic to expect the listener to keep pausing CD whilst attempting to create a feeling of calmness.

I found the narrator's voice to be nicely paced and easy to listen to. The content is easy to follow and not difficult to remember for those wishing to work alone.
Excellent, well read and very relaxing. About an hour long so set aside some time.
