Good for what ails you

I loved the opening musical selection that opens this book.The story was so realistic that I could smell the outdoors. Giving the listener a choice of paths made me rely on my instincts. I didn’t even give it a thot. This felt so natural to me, I felt as if the story was custom made foe me.

So very Calming

Creativity is a wild thing and often approached with tension. This audiobook is helping a great deal to handle that tension while letting the wildness take form. The author/narrator first puts the listener in a deep, relaxed state, then guides them through a landscape where the scenery is left to be whatever their imagination can come up with. At first I had a difficult time creating the world in my mind without specific instructions on what I was to see, smell, and enjoy. But then I grew more comfortable with that freedom and came up with colors and shapes and all manner of things I was later able to sketch out and paint. My writing became less constrained, and all around me were so many possibilities in all things. This audiobook isn’t a quick fix—a one off—to creative freedom, but it is a fantastic tool one can add to any creative’s toolbox. I’ve also found it helpful for relaxing into a good night’s sleep.
