As Sean explains, anyone can fall victim to the "Buts":
Get Off Your "But" offers a practical guide for putting fear behind you and building the inner resources to become self-confident at work and at home. It's time to get off your "but" and start leading the life you dream.

One of the best books I've listened to.
Sean has a great speaking voice and excellent delivery-not surprising given his extensive public speaking experience.
The entire book was packed with moving anecdotes, but my favorite was the final chapter, in which the choice of "cause vs. effect" was presented.
This is an amazing and inspirational book. Sean keeps you interested all along the way, with his clever sense of humor and amazing insight on how you can make your life better. I'm going to listen to it again. Probably many times. Thank you for helping me to see I need to get off my butt. God Bless.
I would listen to this book again just to reabsorb all the meaningful lessons and uplifting stories. There are many bits of great advice one would benefit from hearing again and again.
Performed by the author, he knows how to tell his story best.
I bought this book to listen casually to, as in I didn't seek it out because I felt I NEEDED help. But even for the casual listener, there are many lessons in positive thinking that I've applied most days after I read this. I even spread it to others around me stuck in their own dark thoughts and it's helped them as well. It's made the would around me a little brighter.
Great book, a little cheesy at times, but helpful and positive nonetheless.
People who enjoy stories of personal hardship
The author doesn't quite make up his mind whether he wants to book to be a tear jerker, or a self-help volume. The advice he gives is of the type "I think that's how I did it, so it must help you, too". And sorry, it's naive.
A bit more passion in delivery
I appreciate the tremendous hardships the author has overcome by being saddled with brittle bone disease. But in the end, his whole story and every piece of advice goes back to this one, very personal, aspect of his story which just doesn't apply to me.
I love a book full of heart, psychological wisdom and humor.
This book helped me get out of a minor depression I was experiencing due to a painful medical issue. Some times I find motivational speakers annoying, but, for me, he was very compassionate, realistic, nonjudgmental, and even fun in his point of view and advice. I also really enjoyed his warm, cheerful voice, and I'm glad he didn't hire a different reader as one reviewer suggested. It wouldn't have been as powerful and experience without Sean's actual voice. Thank you Sean, for your honesty, openness and wisdom!
I thoroughly enjoyed Sean's book. He makes the audiobook entertaining while he narrates it. I recommend the audiobook for an overview, motivation and inspiration. I recommend the ebook as well in order to complete some of the exercises that Sean prescribes.
