Publisher's summary

Do you feel that no matter how hard you work, you're treading water at best? Directionless, unmotivated, and stuck in a rut? What if you knew exactly how to capitalize on your strengths and minimize your weaknesses? It's time to break out of your rut and discover what it takes to Find What You Were Born For.

The only route to success is to know yourself, inside and out - work smarter. Everybody was born with a purpose on this Earth, something they are amazing at and can do in their sleep. Through the framework of professor Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory, you find your strengths, amazingly unique ways to enhance them, and ultimately use them to catapult yourself to remarkable success and the life that you've always wanted to live.

All changes in my life started when I understood that I was making a living from rat race jobs I hated and best case I was mediocre in them. By finding my primary intelligence type, I started to do something I love and I'm good at. Today I am an author and interpersonal skills coach and created the life I wanted. I particularly understand what drives success and I also know precisely what's holding you back, and I can help.

In Find What You Were Born For, you'll learn:

  • The 8+1 types of intelligence and the research proven methods how to improve each of them
  • How to find and bring out the maximum of your innate strengths
  • How to be successful and happy daily
  • How to make your vocation your profession
  • How can you divide lifelong success to small and easy day-to-day tasks

Good narration overall of this book.

It's nice to have a book like this read to me, as I wouldn't get through the whole thing in a couple of sittings because I don't read fast. However, sitting while travelling, this book has my attention and I was able to listen to its entirety. I don't have the printed version, but I think there were some lines that were section headings, but the narrator breezed through reading these sub-section headings and then jumped to the section text. It sounded more like the narrator had made a mistake in the reading and gave the reading a do-over without editing the situation Not sure which is the case (accurate but quick reading of section headers, or there are unedited do-overs). Like many energetic young authors, there are certain lines written emphatically so the reader will pay attention. A suggestion to the narrator is to make her tone just a tiny smidge lighter with these types of written lines when narrating -- I feel like I'm being scolded instead of being encouraged to take note of the topic. Otherwise, I would have not absorbed as much of this book so quickly if I didn't have it read to me. (I love Audible for that.)

So very bad.

Maybe it's just a personal thing for me but I couldn't tolerate the narrators performance. I'm sure she's a nice person and has a ton of great qualities as a human being but my ears just could not handle her voice and over-enunciation of EVERY. SINGLE. SYLLABLE. Beyond that, the content is extremely amateurish, bland, and uninteresting. Everything in this book can be found elsewhere with a far better presentation, more actionable advice, and more interesting/inspiring information. I wouldn't waste my time with this book even if I were paid to do so.
