I have enjoyed listening to this book twice. Having read over two dozen marriage books, this one ranks in my top three to recommend for couples to improving their marriage. The author seemed to combine in this book his two other books: His Needs, Her Needs, and Love Busters. I very much liked the other two books but I can refer this one book to couples to cover the topics without having to impose two books for them to read. He helps you to understand where general marriage counseling fails and what has lead to success in his counseling couples. I teach a marriage relationship class at church and bring this book in as one of my recommendations and as a reference for the class. Harley helps you to identify habits that will improve your marriage and identifies what to avoid. The narrator reads this book as if it was his own book for audible and does a great job emphasizing the authors love for this topic.
I learned from the book how to be a great girlfriend and later wife. I learned how to negotiate well for my needs. I learned how to meet my partners needs.
