simple and effective
i love the no BS approach to self defense laid out by the author! I'm a small guy who's had to defend himself hundreds of times. I've studied Filipino kali martial arts, silat, and JKD for a few years, and I've found very little of what's learned in these artforms is applicable in a real fight scenario while your adrenaline sends your mind on vacation. This book has much more to do with mindset, and abandoning your preconceived notions about how the world works, and arbitrary written and unwritten rules of engagement. The words in this book are 100% true, but not for the feint of heart.

Great, interesting read
Really well thought out book; very unique and pragmatic approach to many real life situations.
Brutal at times but not in a gory or sensationalist sense; just what one would expect of real world violence, both in terms of possible attack and defense.

DO NOT BUY THIS ,generic internet search word crap
Would you try another book from C. R. Jahn and/or Jeff Schine?
Not a single chance in hell. this was the writings of a guy that got on the internet and hit all the blogs and copied all the hit phrases THEN ADDED SOME KIND OF TWISTED POINT OF VIEW TO ALL OF IT . No formal training at all, not military, not anything but a ranting criminal. " booger hook off the bang switch" Ive heard that before have you? But then again I have 18 years experience in the Army, YES combat arms and yes deployments, many! I wouldn't give this guys advice a single squirt of pis...tol competence. To be honest , he just sounds like a trashy POS........HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK!
