Is there a way to always have a fat bank account, a better job, a delightfully smooth relationship, or a better body? Is it possible to realize these dreams now, rather than at some unknown future date? Lynn Grabhorn answers these questions with a resounding "yes." In Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting, she says that what molds every moment of every day of one's life are feelings. Using a candid, witty approach, she shows how feelings - not positive things, or sweat or strain, or good or bad luck, or even smarts - set the tone for people's lives. She frames her theory as a four-part plan that covers all the big topics - money, relationships, health and spirituality - without being pompous or preachy. Grabhorn's "Law of Attraction" lets the seeker find peace and pleasure in life by feeling rather than thinking.

The "self-help" book to rule them all.... Hands down, the best advice I have received on how to get what you want out of life --and why you may not be getting it right now.
After the first chapter, I knew my life would never be the same.
Gave this book as a gift to two friends --each one called me after reading (or listening to) the first chapter --and told me how much they appreciated it. BOTH said it had already changed their life.
the one or two tidbits of good info amidst all the bitching about bad stuff in the world
it inspired me to hurry up and finish the book and try not to listen to all the negativity, to try and get some learnin' lol
the woman's vibe is of someone who has been abused, so it was a bit triggering
At my house, this is the "Bible" of the "creating the life you want" practices. Even after about 72 times through the book, there is still new valuable information that increases ability every single time. So very grateful for Lynn Grabhorn and her sharing this gift!
Me being new to the law of attraction. My psyc professor pointed me too this book. I'm glad he did this was an amazing start to me mastering the law of attraction.
It started out good. I love how she explains her understanding of vibrational frequency and how it's out there in life looking for a match. There were several points where she started to sound preachy and it was hard not to wander off mentally. I felt like it was contradictory to what she was trying to advocate throughout her book on trying to stay on a positive frequency. I'll have to listen to certain parts again because of it. She kind of lost me later on in the book.
People who are deeply into dwelling on their "feelings" as a way of making decisions. New age hippy's might love it I suspect.
No I don't think so
I have to admit I struggled with the voice and tone of the narrator
I think its intent was good - just lacked substance...
I am a real fan of positive psychology and the new sciences emerging around the mind and brain, so expected to love this. However it was just so subjective and "fluffy", and to me lacked substance. Sorry! :-(
I'm listening again asap!! I can see how by listening to this audiobook, and applying it to my life, I can increase my own personal growth and happiness to where I want and know it can be!
I read the book over a decade ago. And have listened to the audible five or six times; I've lost count. This is my go to book when my life is out of sorts. It always gets me back on track.
I love this book my brother told me I she read this book before he passed away 10.03.2015 now that I am I understand the reason he wanted me to. assume book thank you
'Excuse me, your life is waiting' discusses the law of attraction; the 'like attracts like' theory which the author espouses to bring all sorts of abundance into your life. By using feelings and emotions, you can apparently attract all sorts of good things into your life. A very interesting concept, which I can't wait to try out. Hopefully it will work for me!
What I do want to point out to other readers is that Lynn Grabhorn is the best reader of an audiobook I have heard since being on this site. Whether you agree with the author's concept or not, she is very entertaining! Lynn doesn't just read a book; Lynn speaks to you. Listening feels like the the author is literally sitting next to you on a comfy couch having a relaxing conversation with you.
Her intonation is superb, the way she speaks, with little laughs in her voice, all go to make her sound friendly and knowledgable. The recording of the audiobook is also superb.
I would definitely reccomend this book for the above alone ... and you never know, her concept might just work!
"Not as impressed as I thought I might be"
This is basically a copy of 'Ask and It Is Given' without all of the guidance of the original book.
I've fallen in love with this book! I love the energy and voice of the author, it really makes you feel what you're reading. it's a permanent feature in my reading list of books and I re-read it regularly. I'd highly recommend!
"Really easy to listen to. Interesting concepts, great take aways."
Whether you believe in the law of attraction or not this book has a great method of helping you to think more positively and address your focus/attention.
It is eye opening to recognise just how much we influence our thoughts and feeling everyday by the things we surround ourselves with.
In a world of social media, constant negative news stories, disturbing images, daily gossip and break up songs, it is great to be reminded that our happiness is distanced if we don't find a way of switching our attentions.
I really enjoyed it and will take a lot from Lynn.
Heard about this book years ago when Richard & Judy was still Presenting the "This morning" Program,
I had down loaded it to my iPad through Amazon & finally got round to listening to it at last
I am Glad I did & quite impressed, thought at the beginning that I wouldn't be but once you get into you realise that it's all about altering your negative train of thought to a more positive approach , something at the time of reading/listening to the book I very much needed .. So here goes !!
