It had an unexpected twist, but it was enjoyable.

I loved it. Esther has an amazing ability to connect the dots and really hit a nerve. It really has me rooting for the couples to realize the bad dynamics and to change them.

Enraging to listen to - but Esther is stil awesome

The passive-agressive, alcoholic and abusive husband grunts his way through this therapy session. He has zero introspective skills. You will want to scream back at the wife: JUST LEAVE HIM ALREADY. At least the ending redeems the episode somewhat, but I could have done without the enraging 40 minutes that preceded it. Esther Perel is a skilled therapist who tried to find his redeeming qualities and move him to change. Alas, her interventions were lost on him.

All you need is not love

There are so many layers to this episode. At first I thought it was going to be about the power of apology. And although he sorely needs to do so, it's not sufficient. Then I thought it was going to be about how she was defining everything and contradicting someone who is already feeling powerless but that was hardly even touched -- I was surprised by this. The ending however I was not surprised by.

Diversity in Patients Situation

This hit really close to home for me. Very sad, but meaningful to listen to.

Love this podcast so much

I love this podcast so much - all of the episodes. I especially love that we got an update at the end of this one, even though it was a sad one. I just wish we got updates at the end of all the episodes - or even just a special separate "update episode" telling how all the couples are doing today.

Everyone can relate to something in each session.

I listen wishing I could have heard this series years ago. I just got her new book and can't wait to listen and I hope to be as transfixed as I am by Esther's insight and suggestions with the real couples in the podcasts.
