Building on her signature message of using the mind to master difficult emotions, Joyce Meyer focuses on the most destructive, insidious one of all: anger. It is responsible for broken relationships, sleepless nights, high blood pressure and ulcers. It destroys friendships, marriages and families, not to mention peace of mind. Anger is especially hard to handle for many Christians who have learned from childhood that "good Christians don't get angry." Meyer argues that properly handled, anger is an alert system that something is wrong and needs to be resolved.
In her latest book, she delves into the important process of forgiving, explaining its positive impact on the roots, the forms and the results of anger.
Why forgive? Joyce explains that forgiving is the only thing that can free one from the terrible turmoil that anger causes to spill over into every part of life.
Meyer understands that life will never be fair, but that is not a reason to let anger destroy our well-being and health. This is her guide to navigating that thorny territory and finding true peace.

Yeah I know that to forgive someone is important, that is why I bought the audiobook!....but HOW? this audiobook is great on chatting about forgiveness but it does not provide helpful tools to achieve it. If you want results you will be disappointed with this audiobook.
If you are a Joyce Meyer follower, you will not be disappointed with this book. It holds true to form as she delves into the very difficult topic of forgiveness. She does have a few opinions that others may struggle with such as forgiving and re-establishing a relationship. For some of us, that may be more than we can handle. She gives scripture to support her advice as well as references to events in her life. Overall, this is like all Joyce Meyer book's- a good read and opens the reader up to further discussion and study.
Some have complained about the narrators voice but since I, personally, don't like Joyce Meyer's voice, I found the narrators voice pleasant.
I couldn't listen to the narrator. She sounded just like Joan Cusack. I'm sorry but it was just too distracting. I made it half way but it was an effort. Had to quite. Really love Joyce Meyer so it's a shame.
This book blessing me in so many ways. I thank God for speaking to me and showing me how to walk in forgiveness day by day. Thank You Joyce for saying YES to God. You are truly a Blessing to the Body of Christ.
It took me longer than expected to listen to this whole book but well worth it. For all who struggle with forgiveness this book is a must!
Based on the title, I thought I didn't need to read this book. Man was I wrong!! In this book, Joyce shares very real, applicable ways of dealing with forgiveness. She thoroughly explains the ins and outs of it. She explains all the emotions you feel when you've been hurt, the many ways you can be hurt and why it is still ultimately important that you forgive. She speaks on the subject from years of personal experience and a powerful testimony. I am so glad I didn't "judge the book by its cover" or its title rather, and decided to read it. It has enlightened me in other areas as well. Thank you Joyce Meyer!
Yes this book will help you as you seek Gods guidance through life. Always pointing to the Bible for answers.
