I really enjoy the Amy Applebaum self hypnosis & meditation series. I find the content very encouraging and promotes great thoughts and aspirations. I also find her narrative very easy to listen to and understand. I have several of her programs and like every one.
That it actually did what it said it was going to do in the description! It helped me get into a really deep sleep and I woke up feeling super motivated... I'm getting a lot more accomplished since I started this.
I did have an extreme reaction to this book.. it made me want to buy more books from this author... she seems to really know her stuff. Thank Amy!
Not only do I feel better and am getting more done, my colleagues have noticed a change in me as well.
"Wonderfully improved sleep"
This audiobook has been great for improving my quality of sleep. I used to frequently wake up during the night, but listening to one of the sleep ending tracks, (relaxation induction or seashore induction), as I lie down to sleep, has me sleeping deeply and through the night.
Listening to Amy's calming, soothing voice is a wonderful way to drift off to sleep.
I was disappointed with this because just as I was going to sleep the narrator would say very loudly that this was the end of the chapter instead of gently leading into the next. The pace was too slow and the 'guided fantasies' were too restricted and what she had in mind not what I had. For example, whilst 'walking on the beach' I was in the north of Scotland but then she said to smell the coconuts and pineapple - she was obviously in Hawaii!
Also - extremely short book for the money. C'mon Amy, don't be greedy you are supposed to be helping people.
It's great, and very relaxing. I find myself falling to sleep listening to it. I dont think I have got to the end yet! Great
