The author's grasp of GENUINE meditation (not the binaural beats, not the guided visualizations that pass so loosely for "meditation" techniques these days). Also, his staightforward (yet comprehensive) discussion of the experiences one may encounter in meditation, and how to easily deal with them.
No "moments" - this short book should be absorbed as a "whole."
The book reinforced the "best practice" approach to true meditation and provided many useful reminders.
The serious student of meditation should probably receive instruction (and regular follow-ups) from a bona fide human teacher of true, mantra meditation. Failing that, this is, in my humble opinion, the only other place to go (or at least the only other place one NEED go). The would-be meditator will save miles of ink (or hours of audio!) and many hours spent on what will at best be overly-verbose, theoretical and needlessly complex material, and at worst will be misguided advice and shoddy or erroneous instruction.
Well narrated. I have most of Yogani's audiobooks. Simple instructions, very direct approach to self discovery and inner stillness. Highly recommend this audiobook and all the other audiobooks by Yogani. Life changing. You be the judge, of coarse.
This was my first book by this author and I intend to read others on topics of my interest. Makes how to do meditation simple and explains why meditation is life transforming in a way that made me believe that it is truly a life altering practice. The author's love for the topic and those he teaches is proof of what can be obtained through the practice of meditation. Great book. Great teacher.
Yes. I found this book to be very useful as a way to immediately get started with a meditation practice I so far have been able to stick with.
There is a lot of repetition in the instruction. At first, this may seem uninspired or unimaginative, I found this repetition useful during my meditation practice when I found myself wandering away from the original intention.
This was my first Yogani book.
I was moved by the gentleness of this approach. In the past, I have experienced feelings of being judged by both instructors and book authors. Not with this author, through this book I am finally able to have enough patience with myself to continue my practice.
Use this book when you're first starting exploration in meditation practice. Use it when you've "seen it all" and are still looking for the way. Use it when you think you have it all figured out. Use it when you're clueless. Just use it.
"No fluff !"
I enjoyed this once again questions were answered in a non fluffy or flamboyant way.
