The end goal of a properly maintained keto diet is to force your body into this sort of metabolic state. We don’t do this through starvation of calories, but through the starvation of carbohydrates.

Story
We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

Lots of new and exciting recipes to try
I have just recently got married and I am having to cook a lot more than I have ever had to before. I'm not an experienced or confident cook but I am a huge fan of slow cookers, they just work perfectly with my busy schedule so I was super happy to find this audio book which was full of delicious and simple recipes that I cannot wait to try. I have a bunch of old favorites that I always do in the slow cooker but this really opened up my eyes to how versatile a cooking method it is and how much more I can use it.
I really liked the tempo of the narration as it gave me enough time to make notes of the ingredients and method.

Everyday Meals to Making Soap In An Instant Pot
Crockpot meals are my favorite. You can make these meals in the morning, let it cook and have a tasty meal in the afternoon or evening. The recipes in this book are all so flavor-full, and cover every meal. Susan has some great breakfast recipes, which is a rare thing to find for a slow cooker that ranges in cooking time. The French Toast Casserole is to die for, both quick and easy to make. This book also includes vegetarian recipes for a healthier option. Chapter 13 is a hidden gem. It contains different recipes that can be used for everyday life and I’m excited to make my dogs something from this crockpot book. You can find a meal for just about any occasion!

So Many Great Recipes From Which to Choose
With 125 recipes from which to choose, you will have a hard time deciding what to make for dinner. The best thing is, everything from appetizers to condiments are made in a crock pot. Just put everything in in the morning and let it cook while you are at work. A minimum of time is spent getting dinner ready and it should be on the table within minutes. Need to take something to a pot luck dinner or need appetizers to stay hot. Use the crockpot and the recipes in this book for a no fuss experience. The book starts with appetizers and you must try the Buffalo Chicken Dip. The soup and stew chapter is great for winter eating and if I had to choose one of my favorites, it would be the French Onion Soup. My favorite from the beef and lamb chapter is the creamy and delicious slow cooker stroganoff and I had no idea you could cook a glazed ham in a crockpot, but you can and it is delectable. My family went crazy over the Louisiana Gumbo recipe in the seafood chapter and the stuffed manicotti was beyond delicious in the pasta section. There is even a chapter of vegetarian dishes and I love the curried couscous and vegetables. I did not know you could French toast in a crockpot and this one has chocolate chips in it. This is just one of the delicious breakfast recipes and for lunch you should try the roast beef sandwich recipe. I was impressed with the peanut butter fudge and bread pudding recipe in the dessert chapter and I have been making my own ketchup, spaghetti sauce, salsa and taco sauce found in the Sauces and Condiments chapter. You can make just about anything with a crockpot and this book proves it.

Simplify Life With Crock-Pot Cooking
I'm intrigued by Crock-pot cooking. I started out skeptical about listening to a cookbook, but my experience couldn't have been better. I found I could stop the recording until I had completed one step, then start it up again when I was ready for the next instruction.
And the variety of Recipes! There was something substantial for everyone! Thanks to this audio book I discovered the joy of cooking rice in the Crock-pot. It came out just right.
I liked the recipes that allow me to pre-prep everything the night before; no more scurrying around in the morning, cleaning potatoes and carrots and trying to get out of the house on time.
The best thing is: I don't mess up a paper cookbook or get flour all over a 3x5 recipe card!

Delicious Recipes With Your Crockpot!
Crockpot recipes is the best book I have read this year and this is because the information is useful to me as a cook. Christmas is just around the corner and am going to try some of the best recipes herein. I have learnt that I can cook my food overnight or leave it cooking and go to work using a crockpot. This is great as it makes it easier for those of us who work full time. I love preparing desserts and this book has 14 recipes to choose from. The materials used to make the crockpot helps in keeping things either cold or hot as it has insulating materials. That is killing two birds with one stone. Definitely a must read for food lovers and those wondering how they can use their crockpot. Thanks so much Susan. I love!
