Jesse Romero believes that Catholics are called to radically live their faith, not just study it, talk about it, and hide their light under a bushel. For those who find themselves living in a kind of spiritual coma, Jesse jolts them out of that lukewarm, tepid state. Instead of passively allowing circumstances wash over you, Catholics, Wake Up! shows you how to claim every situation for the Lord. We are called to be spiritual warriors, and are meant to triumph with God's strength over life's difficulties. This powerful book will energize and empower you to take action and live Catholic faith vibrantly and courageously.

Truth, Wise, Simple
It is much like any other book of catholic apologetics like some of Scott Hahn's, with less theological insight, and with a deeper emphasis on personal sanctity and everyday spirituality that is attainable and simple. Orthodox and grounded, but along the lines of what George Wiegel describes in Evangelical Catholicism
I started into the book with a yawn and a "why did I buy this? i know all this." only to find out that it would reveal to me that all the knowledge I had was stagnant and not being lived out. Love is a verb, and I was treating it as a noun.
Very realistic approach to understanding your role as a Catholic & acting on them immediately without being manipulated by the enemy.
I was greatly blessed & I'm adopting this book as my companion to read over & over and share to others
Want to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind? Want to become an educated Catholic and learn more about your religion? Want to learn how to read the bible? Jesse Romero lays it down and invokes a passion of the faith. He's like a father in this book and teaches you how to raise healthy, faithful children. His chapters about his children made me cry. I loved the chapter about his career as a deputy & how it caused moral distress with his faith and how he combated it. He gives direction and reminds you of your catechism lessons from so long ago. This book has sparked a fire in my HEART! Listen to it!!!...I did however skip over the chapter about Rodney King, it was too long. But otherwise an enlightening story
