Yes, there’s so much information that it’s hard to retain just listening once. Since it’s not a story, it can be listened to over and over

difficult to follow
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The information that the book provides is very helpful. However, the audio was very difficult to follow because of all the acronyms and repetition of spoken words. It does not flow like I thought it would.

Excellent combination of two wisdoms
Great book. It felt however that Buddhist concepts were taken for face value and science (maybe selectively?) used to prove its points however possible. Still, finding the connections very useable in my Buddhist meditation practice. There are things that are better explained using Western notions for Westerners than the Eastern mythical language, at times.

love the content but not the narration.
if you have no background in aerobiology this may be a difficult text to understand from a pure audio file. it seems as if the narrator is either unfamiliar with the terminology or not sure how to work it into a sentence properly? it may be difficult for people completely new to the subject to follow it from this audio recording.

Collision of Science and Philosophy
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Good book if you are trying to understand how your brain works. The approach of nueroscientist/buddhist is very effective in jumping back and forth between the physical nature of the brain and its interconnections with the spiritual nature of the mind.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Buddha's Brain?
The physical effects of kindness, awareness and love on the brain surprised me.
Did Alan Bomar Jones do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The narrator did an admirable job with a pretty dry tome.
What did you learn from Buddha's Brain that you would use in your daily life?
That my behaviors have as profound impact on my brain chemistry as they do on those around me.
