I have been trying to figure out ways to better my marriage and get off of the roller coaster ride. The ideas presented gives me a great outline on how to be successful as a child of God, Wife and mother.
Very helpful in learning what is healthy in a relationship and what is not. Additionally helpful in practically learning to place boundaries on oneself to remain in a healthy place. Living in freedom is worth the work.
This book was good. Interesting, well taken advice from a biblical perspective. In retrospect, I think I would have liked a hard copy of this book since I am the type a person that likes to highlight and mark books like these to use for future reference. I am sure I will listen to it again.
While the info in this book was good and helped me help others, something just made it hard to listen to. Not sure if it was the reader or the way the book was written. Worth reading, but was just hard to keep reading.
It opened my eyes in a lot issues, always asking me why this or that, this books is a life changer if we apply what's in it and we can change ours marriage in a wonderful way.
Highly recommended for anyone; single, married whether you're have troubles or want to avoid them, or divorced. Lots of great information. Listening for the second time to absorb it all.
If nothing more, this books serves as a great reminder to take self-accountability for your role in a relationship. I picked up a few new ideas. I appreciated the nexus to Christian spirituality.
Personally, I find it repulsive when the reader changes the inflection in his/her voice when quoting a character. It drives me nuts. Just read the book. Stop trying to entertain me with unnecessary drama.
