Practical Everyday Wisdom
Learning to take ownership for yourself above all else.
The narrator's were edited poorly in my opinion, lacked a natural verbosity, and were too theatrical for their content in my opinion.
Mostly all of it. It is all great useful advice.
My only detraction from this audiobook is the narration. If they had chosen a better narrator it would have added more depth to their content.
I have been trying to figure out ways to better my marriage and get off of the roller coaster ride. The ideas presented gives me a great outline on how to be successful as a child of God, Wife and mother.
Getting a ghost writer who knows about appealing to readers or writing realistic dialogue would have helped this book a great deal. The supposed quotes from actual patients had the same stilted, jargon-filled quality as the intrusive narrative of the writers. Advice books are difficult to do well in audio format especially when graphics and text features appear with regularity.
Very helpful in learning what is healthy in a relationship and what is not. Additionally helpful in practically learning to place boundaries on oneself to remain in a healthy place. Living in freedom is worth the work.
This book was good. Interesting, well taken advice from a biblical perspective. In retrospect, I think I would have liked a hard copy of this book since I am the type a person that likes to highlight and mark books like these to use for future reference. I am sure I will listen to it again.
So often disagreements in marriage lead to either verbal attack or silent stewing. This book describes how to resolve conflict in a different way. It encourages truth told in love and promotes healthy mutuality in a marriage. The authors push for growth in the reader without finger-pointing at the other spouse, aiding a person in seeing and taking hold of what they are responsible for. This book is full of hope and healing.
well.worth the hard work of intentions within the the marriage to protect what you want and love to grow what you want and love is worth every effort.
This book has made me reflect on the areas in my life that I desire to change. I strongly recommend this book. It has made me realize where I need to set boundaries within my marriage to allow a healthy spiritual growth.
