"Yet another profound and powerful tool in the Robbins arsenal of self-awareness. It has been an enormous source of strength and insight for me both personally and professionally." (Peter Guber, former Chairman and CEO, Sony Pictures)
"Anthony Robbins is the 'ultimate coach' for that special breed of men and women who will never settle for less than they can be." (Pat Riley, NBA "Coach of the Decade")
It did not attract my attention and it is boring to listing to someone who talks about himself for 20 minutes. I simply stopped listening
The first 20 minutes he was talking about himself and how great he was. That was 20% of the whole audible book. I was so disappointed that stopped listening
By just talking about himself
It is only 100 minutes and thinking of cutting part of it. For sure the 15 minutes of first 20 minutes can be cut with no effect on the content.
Also, the funny inspirational sentences that is read by a voice of a woman in between. It is distracting. It feels like using a soft female voice to cover the weakness of the audible book. Like people who cant sing but bring pretty dancers to have a good show!!!
I have listened to about 10 audible books and this has been the most useless and aggravating one so far. It supposed to be motivational and make me feel better but I am mad now
Yes, if there was more content
It seems like he is attempting to get the listener excited about what he's saying by reading with an exaggeratedly breathless, excited tone of voice. Come on -- are readers really that easily manipulated?
The scenes where he describes all his wonderful toys (as if to say, "See what my system has done for me?").
Great content, production is getting a bit dated; messages and exercises are great; perfect for stewarding self discovery and understanding; know what you want to do, and how to start on the path to achieve it
I've been listening to Tony sense I was little and this is maybe the 3rd time I listen to (awaken the giant within) it has a magic affect on me that just gets me started again when nothing else does and that's the kind of magical effect I believe Tony has in helping others and he's my inspiration for always seeking more growth and development in life.
Great that it's only a hour and half long. Great that it's packed with useful information. Great that it was in the sale x
"A giant in personal development"
Tony Robbins is one of the biggest names in personal development over the past 25 years. This relatively "slim" audiobook distills some of the advice of perhaps his most well known book, and acts as a perfect introduction to the rest of his work. Robbins' delivery is quintessentially American personal-development guru - to be fair, he almost invented the style! Whilst this audiobook is a good way to discover if he's for you, a lot of it now sounds very dated - especially in light of more "scientific" development titles such as 59 Seconds and The Happiness Advantage. Still, worth a listen to anyone curious.
"How much does this actually impact?"
High energy type that Mr R is, I didn't find that this actually moved me on in a meaningful way.
