Good Material, Bad Format

I really like the Atkins program, so this review is not about content. I found it hard to learn how to do the Atkins diet from listening. I am finding I got the gist of things, but then had to buy the book to have a hard copy to reference. There are lists of foods, carb counters, etc. that just can not be given justice on audio, nor does the the title try. This is ideal if you are curious about Atkins and want to listen before you invest in the program. It is helpful, however, to have a short listen in the car to cement in my head the Atkins ideas and review the premise.

it works!

Some of the content is outdated (splenda)but the principle definitely works (induction of less than 20g carbs per day as your body goes into ketosis and burns up your fat stores. MAKE SURE TO TAKE VITAMINS AND MINERALS. After 2 or 3 weeks begin to up your carb intake by 5 grams per week until you find your sweet spot or "Ace". Choose good healthy food

Audio is not a good way to read this book

This book is more of a reference book to keep on hand. I do like the book but may be better to just get the dead tree type.
