This is a really incredible program. I have tried many Anger Control Programs in the past, but none of them worked, except for this program.
Using down to earth and effective techniques, it was amazing how quickly I learnt to control my anger.
I really love the way the program only requires you to listen for 8 minutes a day, this was very important to me, as I have a very busy schedule.
I bought this hoping for a quick and insightful look at anger -- hoping to get a nugget or 2 to use with patients I see. not much there
for this I spent money. i was not expecting earth shattering in 45 minutes, but, in reality, this could be condensed down to 2-3 sentences. Having said that, MANY of those who reviewed this book, REALLY liked it
This was very lame. It needed more substantial information and techniques.
Simplicity must be the ticket. There are basic concepts presented in this program that are easily grasped and get right to the core of it. They are not the concepts I had earlier heard which did little to assist.
With this program, within two weeks my family is awed at my newfound calm. My closest relationships have entered a new dimension. I urge you to try this program if you are prone to outbursts over calm in some situations, as I was.
As to the earlier review comment, this program is not God-based. "God" is mentioned I think one time in the program. There is no leap of faith required.
This author treats anger as always destructive, and an emotion to learn to aviod. His simplistic approach is not compatible with most mainstream schools of thought. This audio book will likely cause more damage to an already confused sufferer of inappropriate expressions of anger. Anger is just an emotion. How we choose to use anger determines the goodness or badness of it. This fact is ignored this author. Larry, LPC-S
Not as clear as it could be.
This is more relaxation than anger control. It should be listened to when angry as it will make you laugh.
Filled with astounding insights such as, "anger is a poison", like I didn't know that already. The author also reveals new anger-control techniques, including the groundbreaking, "try not to be angry". Life-changing stuff. I dislike this audiobook, not because of some innocuous mention of deity, but because it is simply not helpful. And that pisses me off.
This program is concise, very well constructed, easy to listen to, very dynamic in its approach, and a very good daily program.
8 minutes each day per session and I often do 2 sessions and sometimes all 3 because they are so short and easy to listen to. Session 3 is so relaxing, I often find myself dozing off at its close. Just Awesome!
A very effective and easy to use programme. I found it changed the way I felt and acted within just a few days and with very little effort. Highly recommended. Why not give it a try? It only takes eight minutes a day and you can listen during your commute.
This is a very good recording, it is a every day listening. It could it be longer, giving more details on how to manage our anger, but this is meant to be a short self therapy, and it turned out to be a good self control technique.
