In his phenomenal number-one New York Times best seller Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, Steve Harvey told women what it takes to succeed in love. Now, he tells everyone how to succeed in life, giving you the keys to fulfill your purpose.
Countless books on success tell you what you need to get that you don't already possess. In Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success, Steve Harvey tells you how to achieve your dreams using the gift you already have. Every one of us was born with a gift endowed by our creator - something you do the best at with very little effort. While it can be like someone else's, your gift is yours alone. No one can take it away. You are the only one who can use it - or waste it.
Steve shows how that gift holds your greatest chance at success, and the fulfillment of your life's mission and purpose. He helps you learn to define your gift - whether it's being a problem solver, a people-connector, a whiz with numbers, or having an eye for colors. He makes clear that your job is not your gift; you may use it in your work, but it can also be used in your marriage or relationship, your community, and throughout every aspect of your life. Throughout, he provides a set of principles that will help you direct your gift. "The scriptures say your gift will make room for you and put you in the presence of great men," Steve reminds us. "This book is your roadmap to identifying your gift, acknowledging it, perfecting it, connecting it to a vehicle, and riding it to success. Because Success is the gift you already have."
Funny yet firm, told in Steve's warm and insightful voice, and peppered with anecdotes from his own life, practical advice, and truthful insights, this essential guide can help you transform your life and achieve everything you were born to.

I love about do what you like even if it is clean bathroom you can be successful, it reminds us to do what we love what brings happiness and fulfillment!!
I love being a massage Therapist, I do also body structure, people say i glow when i work, and makes me so happy does not feel like work to me... I am also a healer and Reiki Master and people always put me down confusing massage with "happy ending" and that discourage me to pursue my dream.. but now I got a burst of that sparkle to ignore the ignorant s and be big on what I do!!
I thought the questions to ask yourself were good, but there is no pdf download for audible customers (I emailed/tweeted/facebooked Harvey's people and no response)
Short but to the point. Book only last a little bit over 3 hours, but packed with so much information. If you frequent self-help/self-improvement, not everything said is "new", but delivered in a way to get you to think and being formulating a plan to put into action.
Probably any book by Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, Les Brown, etc.
No real favorite characters. The narrator did his job in presenting this book well.
Pretty much all of the book is applicable to whatever goals you're trying to accomplish.
This book would be a great read for college juniors through graduates and anyone else whose heard motivational works before but really want to hear that "something" delivered from someone like Steve Harvey to give them that extra push. Note: this is NOT a comedic read; there are some funny anecdotes and stories, but nothing laugh out loud. This is a book designed to motivate you to action.
At the top, im a black male so I can relate to Mr Harvey and some of his struggles
Realizing I have my very own Gift that I can use as my foundation to build on to fulfill me
He gave list and steps and it was easy to listen to.
the most memorable moments were the story about what his teacher and father said to him and the notable moments about Oprah and how she continued on with OWN even with the haters and people saying she shouldn't have left her show.
It went quicker listening to it being read because I did my dishes and cooked while listening to it.
The story about his boss telling him he was a fool and the friend tell him to continue forth in his dream.
I absolutely love this book, the storylines and the hope/inspiration that was expressed in today's term. I use quotes from this book everyday since reading it, which goes to show that it is for the everyday person in almost ever aspect of ones life. Thank you Steve for saying what we already know but could grasp it before the book I clearly see life differently!!I also created my first Dream/Vision Board immediately after reading this book!!!
That I understood every word in this book, I did not have to pull out my dictionary as I have to do so often in other books.
To not wasting time addressing haters!! Creating a Dream/Vision Board
I am not able to say since I have only experienced the audio version. But, I will be picking up the print copy for myself and as gifts.
I like the fact that he breaks down the SMART goals and how Mr. Harvey uses a vision board. Also, advise about keeping the goal a priority.
I do like having the voice as oppose to the book. It makes it easier for me to listen in the car. Mr. Hodge has a nice reading voice.
I would say how to separate what is pertinent and/or important to keep in your life to assist with your purpose.
I do understand of the time restraints, but I would recommend that Mr. Harvey does a recording of his book(s). Sometimes the message comes better when it is delivered directly from the author.
Valuable life lessons lie within this text. Accept this blessed manuscript apply it's principles and learn to be blessing in the life of others.
"Short and sweet"
I very much enjoyed listening to this short audio book and definitely plan to listen to it again so that I can work on some of the activities provided.
"Excellent and funny"
Another great book from Steve Harvey - moving, engaging and funny. Excellent listen, full of great, practical and inspirational insight into successful thinking. I wish everyone would chose a career that way - people would do what they love the most and (just maybe) everyone would be happy
Yes - and I nearly did. Since I'm listening to audiobooks in my car, I really couldn't wait to put it on again and drive.
