Publisher's Summary

Now is your chance to shine. The boss has just called you in to get your opinion on an important issue. You are up for that promotion, after all, so what you say can really open doors for you. "Well," you begin confidently, "between you and I, this could go good, or this could go bad. If it was up to me, I'd make sure that..." Wait a minute. What's that look on her face? Why is she wrinkling her nose? I didn't even get a chance to make my brilliant suggestion! What just happened here?

What happened here was bad grammar. What you say is important, but how you say it is just as important. Don't make the mistake of thinking that grammar is too complicated or boring for anyone but linguists and nerds. We all use grammar, but many of us could use it better.

A Shortcut to Good Grammar is an entertaining and funny program that will help you avoid the mistakes that get noticed and make bad impressions; make grammar work for you instead of against you; discover that good grammar is simple and within your reach; forget about your eighth-grade English teacher; and hear real grammar the way it's really used.

    "Good One!"

It's good. You will find it very usefull if you want to refresh your english grammar without paying $20-30 per hour for private lessons. It gives you a brief overview of the necessary grammar that people usually use in their conversations.

    "So annoying!"
Would you try another book from Living Language and/or the narrators?

I got this title hoping it will be useful to learning grammar. NOT to hear a stand-up show. And a very BAD one, I might add. The jokes of the two speakers are so ANNOYING and not funny that I couldn't get through the whole thing. Why can't they just give you what you wanted, a grammar lesson, and leave the jokes to the pros?

What could Living Language have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Less jokes, more real lessons - no values as it is now.

What didn’t you like about the narrators’s performance?

The jokes! If you can call them that. So cheesy and just plain awful.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Shortcut to Good Grammar (Instant Scholar Series)?

    All joking.

"It is the best English Grammar book!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Very good grammar book. Fun to listen! It is not boring as some grammar books. I am ESL learner . I've found the best and easiest explanations for some difficult for me conceptions in this book.

    "Hard Going"

These people are really are enough to cause road-rage. I was preparing for a CLEP test and thought that this might be helpful. Yick! once and a while they would say something in a useful, but I was so annoyed by the narration and forced ?banter? that I would have to back up to hear it, and that just to painful. I didn?t expect fun, but I did expect to not be annoyed.
