The day for change is today and it's simpler than you realize.

Most people sleepwalk through day-to-day life, passively letting time slip away. Unfortunately, the only thing that can usually wake people up to the intensity of life is impending death. But what if it didn't have to be that way? 20,000 Days presents breathtakingly simple strategies and concepts that, once applied, will enable readers to be 100 percent present and intentional with every passing minute of every day for the rest of their lives.

The audiobook is designed to be listened to in under two hours and the effect is immediate. Within each segment are tactics for mastering control for your life, principles such as:

  • Motivation is a myth
  • You only have two choices: yes and no
  • How to conquer rejection forever
  • How becoming the problem will solve all your problems
  • Three sentences that will change your life immediately

These timeless principles apply to everyone from the pending graduate to the seasoned business professional, from the time-starved parent to the weary pastor to the restless entrepreneur.

On the 20,000th day of his life, the author sent an email that inspired and reminded a group of people of all ages to live in the moment. This group now includes you.

    Any additional comments?

I loved this book. The author not only believes what he has written, but lives it each day. This book will get you fired up to do, rather than to just dream. I have listened to it a couple of times now. I also purchased the e-book so that I can read it and highlight things that stand out and will help me in planning and accomplishing the next 19,816 days of my life.

    "Awful, exhausting, pointless"
Would you try another book from Robert D. Smith and/or Robert D. Smith?

Sometimes the narrator should not be the author. The pitch and speed of this book is exhausting. I felt like a middle aged man decided that he was tired of not making money and wrote a self help book out of thin air. It was almost like a pep talk from a junior high sports coach. Too quirky and no real substance.

It is a life story that I never cared to hear and regret wasting my brain power listening to.

Would you ever listen to anything by Robert D. Smith again?

    not a chance

What didn’t you like about Robert D. Smith’s performance?

pitch, frequency, too hyper, too self involved. Just a personal narrative as he discovered himself, it was like a diary of a man finding out he was more than half way through life. Very little insight for the reader but I am sure he discovered a lot about himself while writing this book. lol

What character would you cut from 20,000 Days and Counting?

    Robert D Smith

"Great book, but I can't get past the speaker"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I was so distracted with the way the author read his book, that I found that it was causing me to lose focus on the subject matter and kept having to rewind parts. All in all, the message of the book was great.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Robert D. Smith?

    Morgan Freeman

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

To live each day as it is your last
