Publisher's summary

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • This instant classic explores how we can change our lives by changing our habits.

NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY The Wall Street Journal • Financial Times

In The Power of Habit, award-winning business reporter Charles Duhigg takes us to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist and how they can be changed. Distilling vast amounts of information into engrossing narratives that take us from the boardrooms of Procter & Gamble to the sidelines of the NFL to the front lines of the civil rights movement, Duhigg presents a whole new understanding of human nature and its potential. At its core, The Power of Habit contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, being more productive, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. As Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

Behavior Changing

Would you consider the audio edition of The Power of Habit to be better than the print version?

After listening to the book, I also purchased a hard copy. I like both the same.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Power of Habit?

While listening to chapter 2, and learned about Peposident, Febreze and the monkey experiment that opened my eyes and helped me realize our community can change. We are in the process of finding cues and rewards to support changing local habits.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book. I came away with many ideas of not only how to change my personal habits but how to help my community change. I not only purchased the book on audible but after listening to the book bought a book I could underline and share part with others.

A great book

A great book good for anyone wanting to live a better life. Since my teen years I've always tried to stayaway from forming a grindy pattern to my life. Eversince I read the power of habit it made me realize the issue is not in repetition. The issue is repeating things that don't make you happy or don't lead you on a good path. Grind on!
