Publisher's summary

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • This instant classic explores how we can change our lives by changing our habits.

NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY The Wall Street Journal • Financial Times

In The Power of Habit, award-winning business reporter Charles Duhigg takes us to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist and how they can be changed. Distilling vast amounts of information into engrossing narratives that take us from the boardrooms of Procter & Gamble to the sidelines of the NFL to the front lines of the civil rights movement, Duhigg presents a whole new understanding of human nature and its potential. At its core, The Power of Habit contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, being more productive, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. As Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

Dry Yet Valid

This book comes from a scientific stand point with out getting into the jargon and quoting study after study. This book goes into a lot of examples and studies the why and what and how behind them. There are a lot of golden nuggets hidden with in each example and some hit home better than others. I would recommend writing down notes especially if you are reading this to help yourself and/or coaching others.

Great ideas, poor narrator

Loved the book, but would have preferred a different narrator. I would still recommend listening to it though!

excellent book and storyteller!

I found the way the writer explains the different aspects of the behavior of habits in people interesting and entertaining. The stories and anecdotes are well varied and explained in a way that makes the reader maintain constant interest in the book. I recommend this book, since in addition to explaining how to learn to change those habits that do not suit us, it leaves us with an interesting knowledge of certain interesting true stories.

Great performance, great story

This audiobook is a mind changer.

I really enjoyed this audiobook, the performance is great and entertaining. I liked the way Mike mocks all the voices hahaha great job!

This book has the potential to change your mind. It explains pretty complex subjects in simple words, and how we can make use of the powers inherent to habits.
