Good information

Good information. Some of it is outdated and proven to be incorrect. However, there is still a lot of very valuable and helpful information.

The narrator has a very boring voice, but it was worth it to push through.

I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THESE ANSWERS FOR YEARS!

First off I need to say that this will take practice and I’m going to have to listen to parts of this book repeatedly. There is a lot of medical information which I like but not everyone does. For me it answered so many things I needed to know in order for me to wrap my brain around this idea. I have wasted SO MUCH MONEY & TIME trying to find answers for everything. I have been treated as though I have been looking for drugs every time but I rarely asked for anything in that way. I have been told to stop exercising which I refused to do. This book is the first time I feel genuine hope for my future self. I don’t often do reviews but I had to on this one.

Outstanding

This is an excellent explanation of the human physiological system. I'm so glad my Mother told me about it. My back, neck and shoulder started feeling better before I finished the book. I went running yesterday! I feel great. This is definitely life changing, in several ways.
I recommend this book to all humans, especially those who are experiencing any kind of pain. I will start reading it again tomorrow. I will re-read it again and again, several times so I don't forget the so many important points in it.
Why can't more doctors consider these concepts?
Dr. Sarno, thank you so much!

Overcoming Chronic Pain

Invaluable resource for learning about the sources of chronic pain when you have tried everything else.
The narrator sounds like a monotone newscaster from the 50s, so I had to be careful while driving as I would tune out & get sleepy occasionally.
The content Dr. Sarno presents, however, is invaluable. It has been difficult for me to sit still and concentrate to read with chronic neck, shoulder, and buttock pain for several years. The audiobook gave me the freedom to move around & listen.

Interesting if not a bit technical

This is an interesting book but can be a little technical at times for the laymen. It is also a little long winded but filled with interesting insights into back pain and other ailments that may be attributed to what Sarno calls "TMS" .
