Since the publication of The Biology of Belief, Dr. Bruce Lipton has received widespread acclaim as one of the most accessible and knowledgeable voices of "new biology". The science is called epigenetics, a revolutionary field that shows us how the energy of consciousness is as important in shaping life on earth as DNA and chemistry. In this original author adaptation, Dr. Lipton brings his clarity, insight, and humor to unveiling a profound change in how we perceive the way life works, including:
As scientists have mapped the human genome, it has become clear that there are important aspects of life that defy our traditional models of evolution. The "missing link", according to Dr. Lipton, is consciousness. With The Biology of Belief, listeners join this groundbreaking researcher to learn how this new science radically alters both how we understand life on earth and how we choose to live.

The Biology of Belief was a very interesting book and kept my attention. The beginning was very science heavy and it took a while to get to the story, but it set a solid foundation. His assumptions and science were strong and in-line with many current belief systems of creating our own destiny. Bruce Lipton brings this to the molecular level. Unfortunately the pay off at the end was weak. He didn't seem to have any strong ideas about what we should do with this knowledge or give us any suggestions on how to enhance our own lives.
Only as a means of continuing to form a decision about his work; I'm not entirely sold on his work and dont want to condem it w/out more sampling, tho' thus far I'm disappointed. I was prepared to love this book but didn't. Part 1 is the science of the cell. It's clear, easy to learn, and is wonderful. But his surprise and very basic language regarding the body/mind connection give the impression that he's just learned and can hardly believe its existence. Not for the long-time student and believer in the body mind connection.
Next one will have to be for free.
This is the first Lipton piece I've listened to.
I loved his delievery as it came across as a lively lecture, not as someone reading the written word. As we all know, speech patterns are very, very different than written language. There were many occasions that Lipton's sentences simply could not have been one simply reading words that came from written composition. Is this book is a transcript of a talk? Did he 'free style' as he read his book? I don't know. I'm curious enuf' that I may get the book from the library and compare it to his reading.
I've never heard an audiobook with such fast speaking, and found the tone annoying at times. But the information given was fascinating and useful in helping me to understand more about what gets in the way of living life the way I want to, and what can be done about it.
Decades ago I was very interested in genetics, but have not kept up at all with the developments in that field. I really liked hearing what has been happening and what the current theories are.
This book has given me more confidence that my strategy of using meridian tapping to free myself of old patterns is an effective one.
It's pretty amazing that it turns out this way. All these years we have been going to Doctors and they have been telling us that "this is wrong with you" and "this med will fix it." Meanwhile right in front of your eyes, they pull the great quack illusion of all....they give you the medicine that "fixes it" and then you have to take it the rest of your life. If a care deal told you your cars breaks were fine, as long as you came in every month and paid him to fix it, you would say he was crazy. But yet, the sad truth is, these doctors are so "inside" their own programming (box) from the same idiots who taught them, they can't even grasp the concept. Their proof is only on papers, numbers and scales, but you have a person ho has a spontaneous remission and they studder..."ahh, ahh, it's just a miracle (translation, I have no clue or explanation."
