I took away a couple of important 'big ideas' that I had long suspected but couldn't understand because I didn't have the reference point I needed. The most important point for me was how to know when to look for your own hidden agenda in situations. That is going to be so helpful. The book is also encouraging by making change seem possible, and failure understandable and even part of the process of growth.
I feel positive and strong and capable and inspired after listening to this book. I will be playing this one frequently. Liberation seems not only possible, but inescapable. If you even faintly suspect you might like this subject matter, just do it, buy it, it's a fabulous book.

I will listen to this again for the practical advice of changing behavior by raising awareness. Like life which evolves even if one chooses to be listless, this book helps simplify choices and conflicts. Why do we keep doing the same thing? Listening to this book was like spending time with to a good friend. NOT judging yet guiding. The timing for me was good. Thanksgiving Day, Americans often share, reflect and appreciate. Day after, off to the races getting deals and pushing away. Strange beings we humans.
I have been studying and practice the Primordial Sound Meditation about 4 years. This book gives me more solid affirmation to meditation practice for inner peace and health. It also gives me more positive feeling and thoughts toward the recovery of my past illness. It is one my great text books now.
A lot of information is packed in this book and it is a lot to digest - but very interesting for anyone entertained by mind-body connection and the dawning recognition of western medicine!
In my view, being partially blind, I think that absorbing the content of this very interesting book would be more advantageous in the audio form. Even if I had perfect vision by using the audio version the retention of the material would be much better by attending to the subconscious and different parts of the brain than regular visual reading.
The concept of the subject matter really sets this book from others.

The book provides a lot of information about how the brain works and amazing stories about how people recovered from brain injuries. Then it covered various topics like anxiety, depression, over eating, god, and on and on. It was like listening to a sermon and the action for you to do after each topic is you control your mind and you take small steps to go from a bad state to a good state. The only takeaway I got from this book is that we shouldn't underestimate the ability of the brain. As we get older, we commonly use the phrases "having a senior moment" or "my mind isn't what it used to be." The brain is a muscle. We have to eat healthy, exercise, and use the brain constantly to keep in good shape.
This was my first audio experience of these authors. Clear, easy to follow and very detailed. Apart form being incredibly informative, very well researched with the latest findings and simultaneously entertaining it resonated completely with what I was looking for. I knew my brain was powerful beyond believe, however this took it to yet another level and opened the door wider to endless potential and possibilities hidden inside of every human being.

Excellent book with many thought provoking ideas and concepts, I've been a fan of deepak copra for a while but found this one a little easier to grasp than some of his other titles, obviously helped by the excellent contribution of his co author.. I have listened to this at least twice and find I can dip in and out at will even in different places and still get something out of it.. It makes a lot of sense and stimulates calmness and thought.. Highly recommended...!
"Concept and facts to ponder"
The book covers a range of aspects from common medical fact through to thinking which is starting to be accepted as relevant to mental health and overall physical and spiritual well-being. There are many interesting anecdotes to support the narrative and leaves many questions to be absorbed and self-reasoned by the listener. It challenged me in many aspects of my personal approaches to anger, health, diet, positivity and spiritual understanding.
