IFS is also user friendly; it helps you to comprehend the complexity of your psyche. Dr. Earley shows how IFS is a complete method for psychological healing that you can use on your own.
Self-Therapy is also helpful for therapists because it presents the IFS model in such detail that it is a manual for the method.

This book systematically explains how to do Internal Family Systems therapy without a therapist for people who want to stop sabotaging their own successes personally and professionally and heal from hurtful childhood experiences. I have worked with trained IFS therapists a few times and found the approach really useful, but until I read this book I didn't fully understand how systematic the approach could be, leading to a deeper, more complete healing of one's subpersonalities than easily found in the more intuitive, random sort of approach that therapists frequently fall into. Jay Earley has done a masterful job at laying the process out for anyone willing to do the work. This book is a real Winner!
"Really good intro to IFS"
This is a superb explanation of the IFS model. Practical, informative and proceeds at just the right page to help beginners like myself work it out. Highly recommended. The narration is also clear and balanced.
