Early in her career, Kelly Turner, Ph.D., a researcher, lecturer, and counselor in integrative oncology, was shocked to discover that no one was studying episodes of radical remission, when people recover against all odds without the help of conventional medicine, or after conventional medicine has failed. She was so fascinated by this kind of remission that she spent eight years traveling through ten countries to learn what factors that people experiencing this phenomenon encountered. Her evidence presents nine factors she believes can help even terminal patients turn their lives around. They are:
Every chapter of Radical Remission includes a dramatic story of one person's journey back to wellness. The insight that the possibilities for healing are more abundant than we had previously known will give people concrete ways to defy the prognosis of terminal cancer. It chronicles people from all walks of life, and from all over the world. This is an audiobook for those who are in the midst of receiving conventional cancer treatment, who are looking for other options because that treatment has done all that it can, but who still have hope.

This is a book. through its stories, can offer hope to cancer patients and/or anyone who is effected by this disorder. I enjoyed reading this work and I feel that is a shame that western medicine has focus so much on fighting cancer as opposed to healing.
Each individual must deal with a diagnosis of cancer. One can go for the classic treatment but other approaches are needed. This book provides concerned patients with another potential decision process and hope/spiritual way to the unknown.
This book is a MUST READ for anyone diagnosed with cancer as well as their loved ones. It provides hope in what at the time of diagnosis seems utterly hopeless.
Take Charge of your own Life! (I know its more than 3 words)
When patients realize their doctor may NOT really care about them.
Yes. This is not her best performance but it is more about the type of book rather than her. I sometimes choose a book because she is the narrator.
I've listened to it 3 times to hear parts I may have missed.
I recommend this to anyone with cancer or with friends or family with cancer. A friend with cancer that seems to be making incredible recovery recommended I read it and share with others.
I don't feel like there is enough evidence to back up the claims. I am all for Cures for Cancer, I have recently bought several books including "Cancers Causes, Cancers Cures", "Tripping Over The Truth", "The Death of Cancer", and more that use scientific research, studies, testing, have leading known experts endorsement, and many expert contributions to their books.
I can't say that here in comparison and believe those interested in nonconventional treatment of Cancer would be better served elsewhere.
As a cancer survivor, I love the content and message of this book and listen to it often. I've purchased several paperback copies to share. It gives a survivor hope and helps them understand that even though a cancer diagnosis often feels like you've lost all control of your life, you are still the one in charge, and big changes for the better can happen.
Another helpful book is Anti-cancer by David Servan-Schrieber.
I hated the narration. Her voice was unsettling and when she changed it to read as another person's voice, it was extremely irritating. I always wonder how many people actually auditioned for the job.
Ive heard there is a revised edition in the works. I sincerely hope they will consider a different narrator.
Best anti cancer book ever! So glad I found it. Helped me understand what works and why. And, how important it is to trust your own intuition in the face of this dealt disease.
