    "Tremendous Tool for Panic & Anxiety Sufferers! "

    Dr. Jennifer Alison has offered a great resource to those suffering with these very debilitating conditions. My best friend has been stricken with an Anxiety disorder for the better part of a year and it's been very difficult to watch and experience. I've done all that I can to learn more about how to be a good support and to learn more about what it is she's dealing with. Dr. Alison has packed SO MUCH into this short audiobook, I haven't been able to stop telling my friends and loved ones about this text.

    The narrator does such a remarkable job navigating through the book and her voice is wonderfully soothing. Something I think sufferers with these conditions will truly appreciate. I love the way Dr. Alison has included sensible exercises and tips to help those suffering realize that they don't have to suffer forever. Bravo!

    This book was very helpful! Very informative. And really explanatory especially in areas that we don't understand. Enjoyable to read. Although I would often get panic attacks as I listened to the book being narrated, it was most helpful. Thank you

    I like the way it gave you the tools and mindset to enable for you to face and overcome you anxieties, to get to the root and start the battle back to a life without anxiety.

    The part where you find out the real reasons and a real cure for anxiety, along with the section on the biological aspects of the


    What does Jennifer Dorr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    The calm and intelligence of Jennifer's voice really enable me to take in the information, something that can be a lot to take in was made easier by the way she used her voice to emphasize with the listener.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The part where you recognize the unhelpful thoughts that you have, you realize that your internal mind is part of the problem.


    Any additional comments?

    Even if you do not suffer from anxiety or panic attacks, this book enables you to take a deep look at your mindset and allow you to change it to become more positive in life. Great.

    "Reduce your panic attacks"
    What made the experience of listening to Panic Attacks & Anxiety the most enjoyable?

    I was interested in finding out more ways to reduce my panic attacks. I get worked up over practically nothing. When your crying and gasping for air and you can't even talk right and your stuttering because you are so worked up it taxes your body. On the plus side you sleep like a rock that night.


    What was one of the most memorable moments of Panic Attacks & Anxiety?

    The biological reasons for why you have panic attacks. That part was very interesting to me on a personal level.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    There aren't scenes. My favorite "section" was the first half where you learn what causes and triggers panic attacks and how to identify when you are about to have one.


    Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    I didn't laugh or cry, I was in more of a solid intrigue state. I want to know more about why I am the way I am. Why do I get so stressed out, why do I do this to myself over stupid little things. My reactions were more like the lightbulb going on above my head when figuring something out and understanding the reasoning behind something.

    Empowering, Insightful, Hands-on


    What other book might you compare Panic Attacks & Anxiety to and why?

    "Writing to Manage Your Emotions" - I've used this book to help me process emotions in a step-by-step journal format. "Panic Attacks & Anxiety" is designed in the same way.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    This book doesn't have "scenes" because it's non-fiction but I like the first portion of the book where the author guides the reader through identifying the causes of panic attacks, identifying safety behaviors, and analyzing the circumstances surrounding panic. This is the first time I've seen this process clearly delineated.


    Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    I like this book because it puts tools in the hands of the reader. The author gives guidance but it's the readers responsibility to do the exercises and move forward. I think that's great because it makes the reader an active participant. I'll revisit each chapter and follow the steps with my journal in hand!


    Any additional comments?

    The author doesn't provide a "quick fix" but the exercise will help with long-term, sustainable and healthy coping methods for panic and anxiety.

    "A life saving audiobook"
    Where does Panic Attacks & Anxiety rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    I can only recall three self-help books that had a radical effect on my life and this audiobook is one of them. I have a mild anxiety with panic attacks since childhood, and this condition was so debilitating that I spent months not leaving my house in the past. But after listening to this audiobook, I've learned so much, and it helped me develop new methods on how to deal with my anxiety and panic attacks. Now I regularly listen to it on my way to work and feel much better. If you have a social anxiety, general anxiety, panic attacks or some other kind of this disorder, the tools you need to overcome your fears are in here!

    "Massively helpful for conquering my panic attacks!"
    Would you listen to Panic Attacks & Anxiety again? Why?

    Without a doubt, I definitely would - I feel like this is one of the few things that has helped me to conquer my panic attacks for the most part. It's something you can always put on to help if you're feeling down with anxiety or feel like you're about to be hit with a panic attack. There's so much content in here that you could listen to this multiple times and still take new lessons from it, so yes I'd definitely listen to it again.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    There are no characters in this book, per se, as it's non-fiction and a help book, although the narrator did a brilliant job. She helped make it engaging and had a soothing voice.


    What does Jennifer Dorr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    Her voice works brilliantly for this style of book - It's calming, she seems highly knowledgeable about the subject and it feels like she can empathise with how you feel. Her voice makes it sound like she's invested in the subject and wants to be able to help you conquer your anxiety and panic attacks. I felt comfortable listening to this and was made to feel like what I was experiencing wasn't something to be ashamed of.


    If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Anxiety isn't something you have to be stuck with.

    I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to conquer their panic attacks or anxiety. It's incredibly well written, easy to digest, and the narrator does a brilliant job. The sections are broken down well and there's enough content in here for you to be able to listen to it multiple times.

    Now, at last, there's a simple, easy-to-follow method for reducing the anxiety and panic attacks that feel like they are taking over my life. In this audible you will discover the simple step by step program that will help you, conquer fear, reduce or eliminate anxiety, end stress-related illness, and change bad habits, and more—all without drugs or expensive therapy. You don't have to suffer anymore.
    Overall, This book was great ! I read the book in 2 days and will read it over and over. It was written clear and to the point. A lot of information and enjoyable to read.

    I have been dealing with panic attacks and anxiety (at different levels) for much of my life. I have read and listened to a lot of books in this general area. Some are ok, many are rubbish. This one is GREAT. What is most surprising is, it is the cheapest and shortest book i have on the subject but maybe that is the point...so many of the books are full of nonsense which doesn't help. This book is simple, original and to the point.

    I cannot recommend this highly enough. A great companion in my daily struggle to overcome this awful illness. Thanks to the author.

    A difficult topic to tackle but one which this book does very well at. I liked the fact that it got to the point very quickly and gave me some advice and things I could actually do myself, not just endless tests and medical nonsense. No one should expect to listen to one book and suddenly be cured of this awful affliction but I can sincerely say this helped me a LOT and also a friend who i recommended it to. Good narration, easy to listen to. I have it in print too but I prefer the audio version, so that I can listen to it on the way to work and on the way to difficult situations where I used to panic. Thanks, great book.

    Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yes of course, I already gave the book to a few of them and they seem to be loving it.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    I think Jennifer Dorr did a wonderful job here with narrating the whole book and she was the character that gave it it's essence.


    Have you listened to any of Jennifer Dorr’s other performances? How does this one compare?

    I don't think I heard from her earlier but this book narrated by her is amazing. Especially the way she guides us through.

    This is the jam-packed guide towards helping one out on getting control of his anxiousness. I always had somewhat a nervous breakdown either in between or before my exams and I think now I'm ready to face it all.

    As someone who has suffered with panic attacks for years, I've read a LOT of self help books on the subject and very few of them have actually helped me. Jennifer Alison's approach to panic and anxiety is intelligent, easy to follow, and most importantly, effective! So glad I bought this book. I can't believe how much it's helped me! Highly recommend.
