Especially in relation to this topic, Fear: Overcoming Fear is at the top of the list. I loved that it wasn't as cheesy as it could have been, so my attention was engaged. However it's still an emotional topics and that roped me in right away.
The narrator had a variety of inflection that varied depending on the topic, however his enthusiasm was paramount and that made me really take note.
Per above, his gusto for the content was apparent throughout the entire book.

Joshua Mackey always gives a good performance. Most non-fiction books on audio are dry, but Mr. Mackey keeps your attention with his voice inflection and sounds interested in the subject himself.
It is non fiction, so there was not any extreme reaction.
The author gives viable examples of fear and how to overcome it so that it is much easier to relate to. The many techniques and how to's are very valuable and do-able.
This audio book really helped me overcome my fear of being in social situations and initiating conversations with others. I especially liked the deep breathing techniques described in the audio which really helped a lot! It also had some useful resources, such as using hypnosis to help overcome my fears as well. I have also applied the techniques to other areas of my life with success. Definitely recommended if you or someone you may know is not living life to the fullest because fear is holding them back.
Out of all the audiobooks I've listened to, Fear: Overcome Fear is my second favorite. I have suffered from, as colleagues and family have called it, "fraidy cat syndrome" my entire life. But, since listening to this book, I can feel myself becoming more in charge of my fear and generally becoming a little less fearful.
What I liked best about this audiobook is learning the physical techniques to try when I am feeling fearful, which is listed in chapter one. The breathing techniques have actually really helped me, especially before I take an important exam in college, or when I ask my bosses for a raise! I will be honest, I still get worried when I do these things, but this part of the book has helped me improve my life so far.
I have already applied the breathing and other physical techniques to my life from chapter one. I believe I will also apply the mental preparations from chapter two to my life as well, as well as creating an action plan to combat fear, which is from chapter four.
Ace McCloud did it again! Overcoming Fear has a lot of great tips and exercises to try to fight your fears. I am a very fearful of a lot of things, but thanks to this audiobook, fear does not control my life anymore. I believe this book will be a big part of helping many people who are overcome by fear to get over their fears and live a healthier, happier life.
The narrator really does a great job at reading the book. He keeps you wanting to listen and is very clear with no mistakes. This book was really interesting in that I learned you could fight fears with natural supplements, drugs and a proper diet.
Ace's book , Ultimate Self Confidence. Having a fear has a lot to do with your confidence about yourself. If you can overcome your fears, you can surely gain self confidence.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It is full of helpful tips and tools to overcome fear, from simple breathing exercises to muscle relaxation exercises and step by step guides on how best to keep calm when difficult situations occur. After listening to the entire audio, I felt positive and uplifted. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel more confident in their life.

Yes; I enjoy audiobooks as they allow me to better absorb the information without detracting from my daily routine.
I can't pick just the one; all of it was enjoyable, and useful on top of that.
Joshua Mackey is an engaging narrator, but I would say that this and his Facebook e-book are my two favourite ones.
I did not have an emotional response, short of appreciation for the narrator for reading and author for writing it.

I have been very impressed by a number of Ace McCloud's books and I was very much looking forward to this one. It does not disappoint.
Once again the range of the information the books covers is noticeable. It is not a cliché to say that this book will contain something for everyone interested in controlling the feelings of apprehension that can become so crippling.
Once again, Ace McCloud provides an easy to follow, step-by-step to addressing these problems and this adds up to a great guide to getting on top of your fear.
The narrator, Joshua Mackey, performs admirably supplying the large quantity of information in an engaging and entertaining way. The tips on how to conquer fear are presented in a very nice way.
This audiobook is really useful and is likely to help a wide range of people. For me, the most useful aspect was being to recognise when feelings of fear were rising and being able to pinpoint their causes. This is the first step to being able to control them.

It has the benefit of excellent narration, and Joshua's positivity championing you on as you listen. Also the joy of learning life-changing stuff while chopping vegetables for lunch!
It's similar to some of Ace's other self-help audio books, such as forgiveness and self-discipline, because it takes a truly holistic look at being human and empowering yourself regardless of what it is you need to overcome.

"The Playbook on Facing Fears"
Yes, I would listen to this audiobook again. There are so many methods to use - breathing exercises, muscle relaxation, visualization - I just know that if I listen again, I can find the strength and tools I need to overcome any fear. Like most things in life, it takes time and practice to create habits and the habit of not being fearful is one I am focused on tackling, especially now, thanks to this audiobook.

I've listened to a few of Ace McClouds books now and one thing that is always impressive is the depth of information that is presented. It doesn't just throw empty cliches out, this book has many tips for controlling fear and there's bound to be something useful for everyone.
It breaks down how and why we have fear and in one chapter gives a great step-by-step guide to how you can try get it under control.
Yes, I am much more aware of why and how fear is happening and feel better about controlling it when it does arrive.
He does. As mentioned before there is a lot of information and tips here and it could easily have turned into a mess. The author does a great job of giving important details, like on useful foods and supplements, in a concise manner.

the examples and mainly the solutions are quite good. the book is written in a very easy language accessible to everybody including children.
the negative side is that it seems to have been written a bit to fast. some things should have been better elaborated.
overall...it is a bit like fast-food. 😉
