Publisher's summary

"Matter can move backward and forward in time. Objects may be in two places at once. Simply looking at an event can alter it instantaneously."

Quantum physics is an astounding (and mind-boggling) field of science, but can you actually use it to change your life? Absolutely yes, says Dr. Quantum. On A User's Guide to Your Universe, Dr. Quantum, who goes by day as mild-mannered physicist Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, teaches that anyone can understand quantum physics. What's more, it is the most useful, immediate, and relevant kind of science you can learn to profoundly affect your day-to-day life.

Your Mind is a Quantum Engine. Are You Ready to Fire It Up?
The art of "applied quantum physics" is learning how to harness the power of consciousness as we move through space and time. At the heart of quantum theory lies an astonishing (and scientifically proven) truth: that the very act of observing events in your life can alter their outcome. Our minds may not be just along for the ride in an impersonal universe, suggests Dr. Wolf. Instead, we can define the fabric of reality at a fundamental level with the choices we make, the things we choose to see or not see, and most importantly, our intentions in each moment.

Prepare to Unlock Your Own Quantum Superpowers.
How does the energy of your emotions change the physical state of your body? Can we actually perceive parallel universes? Is time travel possible for you at this very moment? Dr. Wolf takes you outside the walls of the laboratory, through the pages of history, and into the land of dreams, alchemy, and enchantment. With him, you will follow in the footsteps of such physics giants as Planck, Heisenberg, and Einstein, as you learn to reframe your perceptions of "ordinary" reality. Ultimately, you will learn to use the "Technology of God", harnessing the power of your mind to become an active co-creator of the universe.

Information is ok, but performance is for kids

The author doesn't really read text, but more like using notes on what to cover. His presentation style is suitable for 6-year old kids but the subject matter is for people over 15 years old. He should adjust his presentation style to suit his intended audience. The information presented was ok, but it made me cringe the way he presented it.

Great Info - Distracting Presentation

Would you consider the audio edition of Dr. Quantum Presents A User's Guide to Your Universe to be better than the print version?

I love the topic and the information. I finally had to just stop listening to it because his high pitched voice and irritating presentation style wore me out. I appreciate enthusiasm and I definitely enjoy humor in heavy topics, but Fred goes so far over the top with both that I couldn't stand to listen to him.

Please make him stop yelling

Such a disappointment. I was really looking forward to an accessible book about physics and the universe. But Mr. Wolf's idea of explaining something is simply to state the same thing again, only louder.

Dr. Quantum? Really? Are you sure?

After about half an hour or 45 minutes of listening. I have to skip and fast forward so I can "finish" the book.

I'm not convinced Dr. Wolf knows his quantum. I'm no particle physicist, but I've read a few books on the subject. I have lots of "really? are you sure?" moment listening to this book. I'm starting to think this Dr. Wolf guy is bogus. Someone who is a real physicist please comment on the accuracy of this book.

Shame on me

I should have known better with my science background. This is not even close to a science book of any science- let alone physics.
It's just a book about someone's CRAZY beliefs with no science backing the theory at all. Good luck in wasting your money. Shame on YOU if you think you will learn something.

Disappointed

Read the negative reviews but bought it anyway and approached with an open heart. Some of the quantum physics and time stuff makes sense but then he gets into Kabbalism and talks a lot without saying much. Overall, not enough dots connected in this book and the whole section on sex, magic and shamanism was a huge disappointment. There’s also a lot of sexism in here/assumptions about gender, and too many sports references. I did enjoy the narration, which this had been meatier.

No Science Here

I agree with Thomas. What we got here was an educated idiot, who rambles on and on for hours, saying the same thing over and again. The book definately never breaks the boundries between nonsense and second grade science.

This guy tries to be funny?

Is this Fred Alan Wolf tries to be funny? Mocking someone's accent is sign of stupidity and ignorance

It is not a Scientific Book, written by a Phd

I thought that this book is scientific. It started with a scientific introduction then moved to pseudoscientific talk promoting Yoga, Shamanism, Kabbalah etc. This lacked the scientific method and the author kept saying his "suggestions" and "thoughts" with no evidence and wanted the audience to believe him. Most of the time, the author was telling his stories with the Shamans and the like.
It was a waste of time and money.

Don't Waste Your Money On This Book!!!

I thought I was getting a up to date explaination in layman's terms of Quantum Mechanics and Relativity. Instead I get what sounds like a Tao/Buddist/Eastern Philosophy on Life in the Universe. This is not for someone interested in Physics. If you want to know someone's idea of where you fit in the Universe this is your book.

A wasted Credit for me....
