Some people were born with natural creativity. Some, well, weren't. This makes it hard to come up with original ideas, or have creative thoughts without inspiration. For me, I always need a bit of an outside influence to do something creative. THIS AUDIO BOOK is now my only outside influence, and all it does is remind me how to use my very own imagination. Inspiration, Power and Release would be the three words. Inspiration because inspiration from words or from creative people help you to become more creative. Power because creativity gives you power. Release because you have to let go of your creativity to help it benefit you and others.
I loved the chapter on creative people in history and the quotes that will help you become more creative.
He brings the human touch and perspective. His voice inflection actually brought out things I did not pay much attention to when reading the book.

I think one book that is similar to Creativity: Discover How to Unlock Your Creative Genius and Release the Power Within is Drawing On The Artist Within: An Inspirational and Practical Guide to Increasing Your Creative Powers. Like Creativity, Drawing On The Artist Within works to break out the creativity locked inside you and super-size it. We are all creative in our own ways, and both these books help us find it and double the creativity.
No, I did not. However, I was very much intrigued and couldn't stop listening. I did not move from start to finish because the book really captured my interest and really helped me become more creative, which, in my line of work, is extremely important!

I thought this was a very interesting book on how to unlock your creative genius. Another very well written and informative book by Ace.
As you get older it seems like your creativeness diminishes a little. At least that is the case for me. I find myself feeling boredom sometimes and wish I had that creative spark and ideas I had when I was a child. With this book Ace shows you how you can harness your inner creativeness. Being creative has it's benefits as it can improve your personal and career life. I loved the exercises in this book that help you promote and increase your creativity. There are also some really great quotes to live by offered also.
The narrator does an excellent job reading and keeps you wanting to know more!
I would listen to this guide on a regular basis. It's so empowering and opened up my eyes to easy ways that I can easily elevate my life on a daily basis!
Josh Mackey narrated at his usual high standards, keeping me engaged throughout the entire guide.
Mackey continues to impress me but I think that speaks volume about the content of this guide. It's not hard to sound so good when the content is so deep and important.
I enjoyed both versions but the narrator really brings out the key information.
I think it pairs well with Motivation and Inspiration, both by the same author
"Get your creative juices flowing!"
I found this audio-book really helpful in getting me back into a creative mindset. It was very interesting to learn about what can block creativity, as well as what encourages it. The audio includes exercises to boost creativity and I found them both inspiring and motivating, I also enjoyed listening about some great inventors and creators and what they had to say about being creative. Highly recommended!
"Bringing Out Your Creative Side For Success"
'Creativity' is one of the most interesting and useful books I have ever read or listened to.
Like most people, I have always be interested in creativity and wondered why it is that some people appear to be naturally more creative than others. As you go through life, you can see that those who have this creative spark, not only excel in business and other endeavours, but also appear to be impressive in their private lives and can follow pursuits that bring them a great deal of happiness.
The question, of course, is whether this ability they have is something natural that they have been born with, or whether creativity is something that can be learned.
This is the question that informs Ace McCloud's audiobook and what we discover is that creativity is something that lies within us all. The secret to becoming more creative is, in Ace McCloud's words, to 'unlock' our own creative potential.
How do we do this? Well, Ace McCloud takes us through a range of techniques and exercises that get the creative juices flowing and enable us to become more skilled at a range of creative activities that can bring us lasting pleasure.
What really appealed to me was the reminder that when we were children we were all creative and all enjoyed making new things. This 'natural' creativity seems so unhindered and easy that it underlines how much our adult selves actually block our creative impulses.
I loved the way this audiobook encourages us to get back to this creative state and rediscover the creativity we had as children.
"A creative look at creativity"
Another excellent self-help book from Ace McCloud, which takes a creative walk through the subject of creativity and how to unlock your own creative genius. This book covers the theory of creativity, what is is and why it is a basic human need to be creative. It then looks at the benefits of creativity, not only to the individual (including stress reduction, less physical illness) but also to the evolution of humanity.
A large portion of the book deals with the "how to" of creativity, and includes 10 steps to practice to become more creative. It will show you how to overcome the negative attitudes of others, including "It can't be done!"
The reader is further motivated and inspired by a number of examples of hugely creative individuals, and the inclusion of inspirational quotes on the subject of creativity.
It *can* be done... and this book will help guide you towards finding your own creative energy and ideas. Joshua's narration creates a palatable and positive media for the presentation of the text. An excellent listen.
"Bursting with Ideas"
As someone who is a creative person by nature - I do art, writing and I am looking into getting into LARPing - the idea of increasing my creativity is a tempting prospect.
Self-Discipline I would compare, because while the two books are by theme very starkly different, I think that a balance between the emotions of creativity and the control of self-discipline is an important balance that must be maintained.
There is no particular scene that I enjoyed the most, but I found the book interesting as a whole to listen to.
Yes, and I did; I was engaged in other tasks at the same time, but the book made for easy listening in the background and I could absorb what was being said.
"An ordinary guide in an extraordinary way..."
I like the narration. helps me read a book and at the same time do something else
although it is not a storybook, i like the fact that it was not what i thought it was when i bought it. I bought it thinking it was a fictional book
hmmh i can't really name a scene....
It neither made me laugh or cry but at most time i have to pause the book and relate. I would say it made me nostalgic
If you have an hour to spare, then buy this one
I am a history fanatic, so I loved listening to what great inventors and creatives had to say about being creative.
Yes, I loved listening to this book in one sitting. I was able to get so much out of it. It's almost like sitting in a class lecture, except this was far more interesting than most lectures I've sat through!
The most valuable part of this audio book is the list of exercises for starting the creative process and keeping your creativity flowing. They're easy to implement and will come in very handy.
Informative, Engaging, Enlightening.
As someone who struggles with creativity I decided to download this book to see if it would help, and without question it did!
The best part for me was where it went through common items that kill creativity and how to avoid them. I could identify with some of the points made and found the advice very useful
As previously mentioned the creative killers section was what really stood out to me, though also very interesting was the part that looked at creativity in other cultures in history.
Yes, I listened to it on the way into work.
I would recommend this for anyone really, either those who are naturally creative or those that struggle. The techniques described can help everyone.
"Great audio book!"
It was very helpful and inspiring!
I'm now ready to implement what I've learned.
I recommend it for sure.
"Get creative now!"
This book can really motivate you to become a more creative person and open yourself to new possibilities in life. It will remind you to try new things and teach you how to develop great creative habits. It will also give you plenty of new ideas to be more creative and ways to use your creativity to solve your problems better. Great quotes at the end are given to inspire you even more.
"Everyone can be creative"
I would definitely not consider myself to be a creative person due to my total lack of ability in all things arty however this guide helped me to see that creativity is much bigger than that and that we all have the ability to be creative in a number of different ways. This book helps you to see how you can identify and harness your creative skills and how that can lead you to success. I found it very interesting, thought provoking and inspiring.
