Mike is back. The battle with Eliza is past. Now Mike must strike out once again in a desperate race against time as his son and best friend are succumbing to the zombie virus within them. What he does not know is that an old foe hasrisen up and a more insidious threat has emerged to not just the Talbots but all of humanity.

"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one." - Jojen Reed. #ADanceWithDragons
I have been experiencing Zombie Fallout withdrawal, I know that there are other Mark Tufo books and all of them scratches that itch of Tufo-ism I have needed but none compare to the epicness of Zombie Fallout with Mike, his family, BT + Tommy facing a Zombie Apocalypse and all that it entails.
I am a scientist at heart, a theoretical Chemist to be exact so I express myself well in the form of equation. I will use an equation to describe the narration:
Sean Runnette + Mark Tufo = Perfection!
That's just it.... Absolute PERFECTION. I don't know what fate put this author and this narrator together but to the powers that be... Thank you!
Now this book is just plain exciting... There are so many moments that you are at the edge of your seat... And if you are a true fan of the art of Tufo-ism then you find a couple references to other books in the Talbot Universe (Callis Rose reference the most obvious there) which is always a trip. You have that dry sarcasm teeming from Mike Talbot, the mismatched thought processes of Trip along with his poor wife who is just perpetually confused by her husband, the downright brutish nature of BT, the crafty and hard to kill Mrs. Denou.... With the death of Eliza, Mike has to find a new quest and the quest here is simply to find a cure for his son and his best friend. This book was the nice combination of action as well as plot development.
The book put me in a rather peculiar conundrum.... One where I couldn't help but make my way through this title, and also definitely not wanting it to end. It ended all too soon for me.... There will be more though. Thankfully there will be more! So my only problem with this title is..... I have to wait for book 8.
...but it wasn't my favorite of the Talbot Family saga.
It felt a bit rushed. Sure, I loved hearing more from the Talbot family, BT and the return of Trip but when I heard "This is the conclusion of the audio book..." I literally said out loud, "That's it?" I literally scrubbed back to see if I had accidentally missed a few chapters.
When I run out of audiobooks to binge upon, I'll revisit this and see if my opinion remains the same.
There's humor there were parts I laughed till I cried but also serious parts
I think he's great its amazing how he brings the character s to life
I enjoyed the new storylines for my favorite old characters. I can't believe I've made it to a seventh book in a series and haven't lost interest or found it stale. I'll be reading number 8.
I love this series, I'd have to say this book is in the top 5 books I've listened to. I find myself listening to it again when ever I want a chuckle.
Mike Talbot of course, He just can't catch a break, but seem to break everything around him.
Sean brings these character to life...each voice is the perfect fit. It's strange read the book after and have Sean's voices rolling around in my head.
Yes, I think I finished it in 2!
I am a big fan of the Zombie Fallout series, and this one is excellent. You can't really start with this book, so if you are into zombies, and why would you be reading these reviews if you weren't, you need to start with the first one. Fun series of books and I can't wait for ZF8!
The whole story line from Mark flows great. The story from Mike's view is one of the best.
There are few that can compare to FZ series. New World Series from John O'Brien is written as well.
Sean brings Mike to life, I don't think it would be the same if Sean was not the voice for the series.
yes, I had a hard time stopping. I found myself sitting in the car after getting home because I needed to hear what was going to happen next.
First let me say I love this series. Mark Tufo is a freakin genius and Sean Runnette's narration is awesome. But this book left me with an unfinished feeling unlike the rest in the series. I enjoyed this book as much as the rest, but it left me feeling like I was watching great movie and the power went out. I had to double check that I didn't accidentally skip the end of the book some how. I hate the feeling of having to buy the next book to find out the end of a story. I never felt that way with all the other books in this series.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend i have been trying to get a group of friends interested in Mark Tufo's books for a while as his writing style is fantastic.
as a devout Talbot follower I often find my self asking "what would Talbot do?"
Sean and Mark are the perfect match, Marks writing is brought to life by Sean's unique voice and skill.
Mike and BT are on top form as ever the duo had me laughing all the way through
spoiler alert!!! If your worried about the absence of a certain vampire, don't be, there is a fantastic twist to this story that certainly takes the Talbot family through even more danger and it this book looks set to see more Zombie Fallouts in future.
"So good to be "back with Mike"..."
funny, poignant, enlightening
The exploration of the unfinished business that the characters faced "post Eliza". Along with new twists (wont ruin those) and developments in the way everything happened in the first place and how the plot teases with the tie ins that run back through generations of the Talbots. Good back story for some of the other characters too!For a fan of the set, this felt like coming home!
Epilogue 2 as its a big teaser about the fact that theres something special about Mike that has "always been there"
The whole book and I CANT ruin it for other readers
This book is not the end of the ZF series, that much becomes obvious....but it does lay a LOT of groundwork and it's building up to something spectacular....ZF8 will be a rollercoaster
"Sean Runnette Mark Tufo another great effort"
What I liked most is that Trip is back in the story , his character make me laugh every time.
John the tripper and BT
Sean Runnette is one of the best narrators around, along with Stephen fry .
Sean sounds like Peter Griffin from family guy , which makes the series for me
John using the back window on the bus, saying hI to the bikers
Sean Runnette Mark Tufo keep up the good work, and keep it fresh, thanks for keeping me entertained
"Still love talbot"
As part of the series I'd say its in the top 3
John the tripper driving the bus
The fight at the end
I laughed quite a few times
"Big zombi fan"
Could not say have only done the audio book
Dinowe seems to be back on form as a twisted old lady and who would of thought she was involved in starting the hole thing
Like the bit when things look at the worst mic seems to jump out of the fire the fire been an epic zombi battle by hand the is rescued by people that just drug him and knock him out life is never easy
No emotional reaction it's just a good zombi book if you liked the first 6 you will enjoy this 1
It's book 7 so if you have enjoyed the first 6 this is just more of the same and you'll be pleased to know its setting the seen for more.
Just keep them coming I love a good zombi apacalipse and the zombi fallout books are among the best
"Back On Track - Great Story"
THis is one of my favourite of the Zombie Fallout series and is one of the more enjoyable books I've recently listend to.
My favourite character is, and always will be, Mike Talbot - he seems such an ordinary guy next door type of bloke.
Sean Runnette is a great narrator and I will always now associate him with Mark Tufo books, or maybe more Mike Talbot. I've listened to the first couple of Indian Hill books too and again he just typifies Mike Talbot.
No, I never want to listen to a book in one sitting. However, after a 7 hour round trip down south this past week I did manage to listen to most of it.
The story is one of the strongest in the series from the past 3 books. I think it's back on track again - I am glad (SPOILER ALERT) Eliza is now done and dusted and we have new Mr Evils to contend with!
Love this series of books, I was so relieved to find out number six was not the last one. Mark Tufo is a great writer and this instalment will not disappoint, also Sean Runnette brings it to life. I would recommend all day long.
"Brilliant but slightly disappointing"
Well, I am a massive fan of Mark Tufo. His characters are fabulously realistic and the humour he injects is wonderful. I eagerly awaited this book for two reasons;
I love Talbot and clan and was missing them and worried for BT and Justin
I wanted to see what Trip and BT made of each other!
This was a great book, full of the things that make Tufo's writing great. I really enjoyed the development of the story, the consequences of Eliza's demise and the urgency of saving two beloved characters. I enjoyed the new characters and the revelations the book holds. However, I felt that this book was essentially a road trip with no resolve. I LOVE THIS BOOK, don't think otherwise, but it felt over all too quickly and nothing had really happened. Of course, lots happened! It is packed full of great scenes but the overall story felt like it was on hold. This felt a little like a vehicle to get the story to the right point for ZF8. It was a bullet proof Hummer with roof mounted RPG, but a vehicle nonetheless.
Let me make myself clear - this is a great book and I loved it as I have loved every ZF book. Mark Tufo is brilliant! As you can see, I have given it top marks and it's well deserved.
SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON
BT and Trip - The play between Trip and Talbot is brilliant. It matches that between BT and Talbot. I was looking forward to, and hoping for, a reunion between Trip and Talbot and was not disappointed. However, I was disappointed at how little time was devoted to that in the story. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but I was hoping for more. I was really looking forward to BT's reaction to Trip but again felt a little cheated. I hoped for more time devoted to this and felt a little deflated by its brevity. There is a huge amount of action and peril accompanying this meeting and the brevity is reasonable. I was just a little disappointed.
"Another great Zombie Fallout Book"
Honey, Mike's Home!
Only Zombie Fallout compares, there are other great zombie books but Fallout are the best.
All - Sean Runnette is perfect in reading Mark Tufo books, the two just work!
Moved? No but had fits of laughter, the humour just works for me.
Seemed to have to wait ages for this book (only because they are so good), to be honest this book was a great listen although it was all done in a day, now have to wait again for next one. This was a very good book bit in a way it felt like a setup book for Zombie Fallout 8, it is more about the transition from Eliza beating to a new Talbot adventure, although fully entertaining all the way I was hoping for a longer book! There is no doubt in my mind Zombie Fallout 8 is top of my purchase list and if you have done Zombie Fallout 1-6 this is a MUST listen! Not giving any details about plot as you just need to listen for yourself, a zombie fan or comedy fan it will work for you.
