Publisher's summary

Xenocide is the third installment of the Ender series. On Lusitania, Ender found a world where humans and pequeninos and the Hive Queen could all live together; where three very different intelligent species could find common ground at last. Or so he thought. But Lusitania also harbors the descolada, a virus which kills all humans it infects, but which the pequeninos require in order to transform into adults. The Starways Congress so fears the effect of the descolada, should it escape from Lusitania, that they have ordered the destruction of the entire planet and all who live there. The Fleet is on its way and a second Xenocide seems inevitable, until the Fleet vanishes.

Great story.

I think it is a must for all that have followed the path of Ender. I truly enjoyed the way the stort tellers to this store. There is a lot left in story unanswered but that is for the next book.

least favorite so far

The story of path rambled on for too long. I much preferred the story of Lustania.

Loved it, hated it, cursed it now will probably re-replay it

Ok so let's have a conversation about what is life, just for kicks let's throw in a discussion about how we respect others even when we're afraid; add a quip about then nature of reality. Ok don't make 3 books just mash them into one. Make it progress slower than a dead snail with only a hint of brilliant writing just in time to prevent rage quitting. Finally wrap it up with a solution so infuriating that I'm pretty sure that If I was just a little bit smarter I would have enjoyed it more. I feel like I started seeing great art but blinked instead of focusing and missed it.

The saga continues

We have listened to all of the books in the series. It’s been chill. Except for the Descolada, Enders sexless marriage, and the torment on Path. Jane is super chill.

great story.

Card delivers again. Xenocide is the intellectual older brother of the earlier Ender stories, but fits right in with the family. The voice actors were on point and keep the story engaging.

loved it!

I did take issue with a certain character in the end. I don't want to give it away if this is published but why the heck did HE have to come back??? I guess I'll find out in the next book maybe he changes
