Events are coming to a climax in the Banished Lands as the war reaches new heights. King Nathair has taken control of the fortress at Drassil, and three of the Seven Treasures are in his possession. And together with Calidus and his ally, Queen Rhin, Nathair will do anything to obtain the remaining Treasures. With all seven under his command, he can open a portal to the Otherworld. Then Asroth and his demon-horde will finally break into the Banished Lands and become flesh.
Meanwhile Corban has been taken prisoner by the Jotun, warrior giants who ride their enormous bears into battle. His warband scattered, Corban must make new allies if he hopes to survive. But can he bond with competing factions of warlike giants?
Somehow he must, if he's to counter the threat Nathair represents. His life hangs in the balance - and with it the fate of the Banished Lands.

"A must listen"
This is a four book series. I initially bought this thinking it was a trilogy and had to wait painfully for the forth to be released. A wonderful listen following a young Corban growing into a leader and a worrier. Great story. Well recommended
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this whole series! Fantastic and brilliant! Performance was superb and story was ace. I would put this right up there with Robin Hobb, George RR and even Patrick Rothfuss. Utterly superb.
My poor attempt at doing a proper review could Not come close do it justice. Worth waiting for
"Breathtaking end to a great series"
A very good reading of a really good book. Probably the best of the Faithful and the Fallen series.
Too many to name but I always enjoyed the bits with Camelyn.
With the multiple POV characters it is often to get disoriented when reading yourself. But when listening you can concentrate on what is going on without getting too distracted remembering who's angle you are viewing it all from.
"I've loved these books all together a true epic"
worthy of every second of my time I would recommend this mammoth read to anyone.
delivers all you could ask for
"superb narration of a myriad of characters"
I have thoroughly enjoyed the series. It is a tale of epic battles set in a medieval time where some magic is present so you should expect a lot of smiting! There is a lot of hand to hand fighting and many, many characters and as some change sides towards the end I did get a bit confused. The "saved from death a second before the coup de grace" got a bit tedious as it appeared in nearly every battle scene but I could not do any better so this is merely a comment not a criticism. The narration by Damien Lynch is superb. His command of regional accents and the diffentiation between age and gender is peerless.
I couldn't get enough of this 4 book series. I listened to it every moment I could. An epic tale, highly recommended. Damian Lynch is a superb narrator. Am bereft now, trying to find another series that lives up to this one!
I loved this book the first book was a bit mixed up at the start but once it got going wow what can I read now any idea?
An excellent series, I was entertained from start to finish and recommend to any fantasy fans looking to start a new series. Only negative thing I could say is I felt the last book rounded things up a little too quickly, I thought there was still more than enough happening to spread it out another book or maybe that was me not wanting to reach the finally and the end as I was enjoying so much.
John Gwynne well done sir 😀
good book really as probably the second best on the Set. it's got a bit of everything.
