    "Leads to nowhere."

Too much storytelling and not enough action to draw you in. Her tie in with arthas in lich king was better than this. Narrator is too soft to portray garrosh...

"Narrator not so good, story great!"

I have listened to several books now and this narrator is terrible compared to the others. I hate to be do brash but she does some of the most annoying a hoarse "voice effects" i have ever heard. It got to the point where instead of listening for a few hours at a time like with most books, i began to only listen for a few minutes at a time due to the annoyance of her accents and voices.

"Great addition to the Warcraft universe."

This adds more depth to the characters we know and enjoy. The story is rich and full of ups and downs. My only critique is that the narrator, while doing a great job, seems to try a bit too hard to sound masculine. While this was a bit distracting at first, the balance of her narration was superb and more than made up for this.

    "loved it"
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Was a great book to listen to. I know they seem to be putting the new books out on audio book more these days. However I wish they would work on putting the older ones out in the near future to. If anyone knows anything of this happening eventually I would love to know.

    Any additional comments?

    "Excellent Read!"
Would you consider the audio edition of World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War to be better than the print version?

I listened to the audio edition at the same time as reading but I don't think the story would have been as good if I just read it myself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lady Jaina Proudmoore hands down. She is just the coolest. She is nice but when it is time for battle he can sure dish it out.

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I didn't but after I finish reading the few books on my wishlist I will be show to look at the other books she read and see if maybe I can read one of those.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes when Rhonin sacrificed himself to save Lady Jaina Proudmoore was awesome. Telling her that she is going to be the leader of the Kirin Thor was so epic.

    Any additional comments?

I think Justine Eyre was an excellent reader. All I see are people bashing her because she couldn't get a deep voice for Garrosh Hellscream. That is ludicrous because of course she is not going to sound like a deep voiced man but I was still able to tell the difference in characters. I am reading a book now where a man is narrating and when he tried to speak for Lady Jaina Proudmoore he butchers it. So of course no one is going to be perfect but I am not looking for that. I am looking for contrast between characters. I loved listening to Justine Eyre. Her voice was calm and easy to hear. She flowed through the book so naturally. I really wish I could give her more then 5 stars. She didn't make me want to shut off the Audible at all. She made me want to keep reading.

"A true World of Warcraft tale"
What did you like best about World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War? What did you like least?

I play the MMO and was glad this book was written. In game, the zepplin just drops the bomb on Theramore and then you arrive afterwards. They never explain what happened exactly. This book tells that story. I liked that I could relate to every character because I had seen them in game. I did want them to go deeper into how exactly Garrosh got the focusing iris and how he got his hands on a mana bomb.

What did you like best about this story?

The voices of the horde were a bit hard to get past. Justine Eyre did the best she could to speak Patwah but it didn't come across well. Please let me say that she did a fine job it was just the horde voices were a bit tough.

Did Justine Eyre do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She captured some of the characters really well. I had to go back in the MMO and redo the Sunwell Plateau to see Calygos lose his love. I was not bored by her reading at all. She did a great job.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, I would watch anything World of Warcraft related as I am a huge fan of the lore Chris Metzen and his team have created.

    "Solid Warcraft book"
If you could sum up World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War in three words, what would they be?

    Compelling, fun, interesting

What did you like best about this story?

Enjoyed the character development of the main character

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The final battke

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    None

    Any additional comments?

Story is fun but has quite a few moments where you'll groan, because they do some overly obvious things that you see coming a mile away, and have been done before and better in other stories. For a Warcraft novel, it's very good. Looking at it as a purely fantasy novel, there are better books out there. Reading performance was great for general lines, Jaina and the gnomes. It was OK for the dragons. It was kinda terrible for the gravelly sounding Orcs and Taurens. This is hard to pull off for a female and she tried, but it made me laugh at the supposed evil shouts, rather than feel moved by them.
