    Story
    "Fresh and truly original."
What made the experience of listening to World Builder the most enjoyable?

Lucas Kitchen reads the book very well, but the story and how it scales wins the day.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Truss was my favorite. Quirky, interesting and the central enigma of the story.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The entering of Molgathra is when the epic scale of the tale really started to weigh in.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't cry, but I couldn't wait to listen to more. It had me hooked.

    Any additional comments?

In a word... enjoyable. The author's voice (and I don't mean the audio) is refreshing. The book was quirky, in a good way. Healthy descriptions, interesting characters with numerous idiosyncrasies that make them fun to follow, and action and plot devices that weigh in on a truly epic scale. Several times throughout the story I found myself in awe of the author's level of research, the level of detail and how effortlessly it appeared. I also listened to the book almost straight through... at least I wanted to. It became my evenings treat before bed and one I couldn't wait to get back to.

World Builder might be mislabeled. Although it has sci-fi elements, I feel like it might be better branded fantasy, or adventure; it might even deserve the label of thriller. Overall, it crosses many genre's... all the good stories do, right?

If you're looking for a fresh new voice in sci-fi (fantasy) and want to be engaged by an original concept with quirky, interesting characters, this is the book for you. It's totally work the read.

    Story
"Well read, and an interesting story."
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book with slight reservations. The story is an interesting spin on Christian mythology and held my interest to the end. I listened to it in my car, and whenever I reached my destination I was always a bit sad that I had to turn it off. The part of the book that I did not enjoy and would slow my recommendation is the language. One character has a foul mouth and every time he spoke a line I would flinch a little. It's not extreme but it is unpleasant.

What about Lucas Kitchen’s performance did you like?

Lucas's reading was steady and clear. His character voices were believable and not overdone.

    Any additional comments?

A fun read. World builder does a good job looking at our world from the perspective of an outsider.

    "Great new author/narrator"
If you could sum up World Builder in three words, what would they be?

    Unexpected surprising plot

What did you like best about this story?

The characters were likeable and interesting. The sci-fi story took me to another element and I enjoyed the trip.

Have you listened to any of Lucas Kitchen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I believe this is his first, but I think he was great. Low, soothing voice, excellent voice characterization and pronunciation. Easy to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Star-born and star-bound warriors collide in epic battle
