Fascinating

Delightfully mysterious and imaginative world building, peopled with characters who are vulnerable, flawed, admirable, and very human.
I'm glad I listened, and recommend it highly.

We need more books like this!

Essentially, this is a coming-of-age exploring-the-world story set in a fascinating other world similar to (or possibly a part of) our own. The cultures and beliefs are set up so well and the struggles and joys of the characters well-written and relatable. I’ll hold this book in a special place in my heart!

This author does have a unique writing style that might not be for everyone, but I greatly enjoyed it. The narration was fantastic, so many characters and accents all done flawlessly.

Wow was this different!

I really liked this book. It was very different than my usual cup of tea. I thought the overall story concept was ingenious and was fascinated by female empowerment that was a major thread through the book. If you are looking for something off the beaten path or want to see a tree through the forest, give it a listen.
