When there's not a hop in hell...
The day is going to hell in a hurry for paranormal psychologist Matilda Schmidt, and that's before a suicidal Easter bunny shows up for treatment.
When pictures surface of Matilda caught in the middle of a hit man-Cupid sandwich, she lands in the oily grip of a ruthless blackmailer whose motives are as ugly as his mustache. Now Matilda must betray the trust of someone who cares for her to meet the blackmailer's demands, or she can kiss her reputation, her practice, and even her freedom good-bye. But blackmail is only the beginning when the immortal mystery client brought to her couch by a seductive demigod causes Matilda to fling caution - along with her panties - to the wind.
Hunted by two jealous goddesses who would gladly use her intestines to lace up their strappy sandals - and with her full-time hit man/sometimes lover nowhere to be found - Matilda will have to save herself, or the world will be up River Styx without a paddle.

I live to ride my bike.
Matilda is so much fun as a character. Her obsessive behavior manifest in the way she diagnoses almost everyone she encounters. That is what we enjoy about her along with the rivalry with her hitman and demigod.
I wasn't sure what to expect since this is my first audio book by the lovely Ms. St. Aubin. It took me a few minutes to get used to the book being narrated by one person since I'm used to having a male and female narrator. Once I got past that hurdle I listened more intently and really enjoyed what I heard.
I loved reading this story, it has everything you could want, action, adventure, blackmail, humor, talking mystical creatures, some extremely sexy scenes and a "bake sale". I mean who doesn't love all of that, and listening to Ms. Hollie Jackson tell the story made it all the better.
Ms. Jackson's voice was very easy to listen to. It brought to life all of the characters, both male and female beautifully. The slight nuances each character had made me feel like I was there peeking out from behind a wall easdropping on their lives.
I throughly enjoyed what I heard and I have no doubt that you will too.
Unhoppy by Cynthia St Aubin is another funny and unpredictable story from the files of Dr. Matilda Schmidt. Matilda finds herself on yet another crazy adventure, this time with the Easter Bunny along with a man with a paper bag over his head. I loved the characters and listening to this story will keep you wanting more. I am looking forward to see what paranormal creature will come to her next.
Yes! Cynthia St. Aubin has done it again! I swear her stories get better and better with each go around!
Add Hollie Jackson to the list, and you have a 5 star hit! Though it's already a bit in my book. ;)
Matilda, once again, finds herself in a truck situation. Will she betray the trust of somebody just to save her own back? Find out now! Trust me, you won't regret it!
Would I listen again? YES! The story is so funny that I had to stop listening to it on the treadmill because I couldn't breathe from laughing! This might be my favorite of these stories. We'll have to see though...there are more! Could they get any more hilarious!?
I've already read the whole Dr. Matilda Schmidt series, but now I'm going back to relive them in audio book form. The second go through has been just as fun as the first - there were times I literally laughed out loud. This time Matilda is being blackmailed to get a key from the bumbling security guard, while at the same time dealing with not 1 but 2 supernatural beings with issues. Crixus is just as hot, sexy, and very naughty as always. I just want to snuggle the poor suicidal Mr. Marvin Cuddlestein (aka the Easter Bunny). I would have liked a bit more Liam, but Adonis was a reasonable replacement for one story. I enjoyed the narration in this story. Her matter-of-fact voice is just how I imagined Matilda would sound and she performed the other voices well. Highly recommended!

Wow...I have never loved a book and series so much. Matilda and all the other characters are awesome. There is so much entertaining in this book with mystery, blackmailing and just simply fun. Cynthia St. Aubin has became one of my favorite authors...so entertaining. Now Hollie Jackson, I can only say AMAZING!!! Hollie brings to story and characters to life with her narrating, if you close your eyes you can watch the movie. I received a complimentary copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review.
I consider both the audio edition and the print version to be the same. I love the characters, the setting, plot, everything.
It's so hard to point out! But one of the most memorable moments of Unhoppy was when I Crixus told Matilda how jealous he was.
Hollie Jackson has a knack for bringing the characters to life! I can't think of Matilda Smichdt without hearing Hollie Jackson's voice! I loved it.
I can't say for sure because the audible edition, like the book, was very entertaining.
I was given a free credit for exchange of a fair and honest review. I will say this, I listened to the audible edition twice, and the second time I did, I read the book while listening to it. It made the scenes so much sweeter, funnier. Cynthia St. Aubin has a knack for injecting humor in all the right places. I'm a big fan of her novels, and this one, like the rest, did not disappoint! I recommend this author to anyone!

So trying to figure out what to say. Didn't like Barrett the ferret in the beginning, a suicidal Easter bunny certainly got my attention as did the sexy Adonis. The story built well and holds you to it through every word. Hollie is a wonderful narrator for the series and makes the characters each individual and so real. That ending just.........wow! Didn't see any of those coming at all! Go listen to or read this book. And hopefully Cynthia and Hollie have a new one out soon.
