Publisher's summary

The new novel in the hit New York Times best-selling Dresden Files series.

The Warden Morgan has been accused of treason against the Wizards of the White Council - and there's only one, final punishment for that crime. He's on the run, wants his name cleared, and needs someone with a knack for backing the underdog. Someone like Harry Dresden....

Now, Harry must uncover a traitor within the Council, keep a less-than-agreeable Morgan under wraps, and avoid coming under scrutiny himself. And a single mistake may cost someone his head - someone like Harry

Critic reviews

“Fans of Laurell K. Hamilton and Tanya Huff will love this series.” (Midwest Book Review)

“Superlative.” (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

“Butcher...spins an excellent noirish detective yarn in a well-crafted, supernaturally-charged setting. The supporting cast is again fantastic, and Harry’s wit continues to fly in the face of a peril-fraught plot.” (Booklist, starred review)

Mr. Detective

Look out Angela Lansbury, Harry Dresden is here to stay. A good old fashioned who-dunnit!

Turning point

This is yet another great addition to the series that just gets better.
Morgan is framed for a murder and comes to Harry for help. Yes, Harry whom Morgan has tried to execute many times, but Harry being the good honest wizard he is, tries to help Morgan and find out who the real killer is.
He runs in to all kinds of obstacles while being aided by his faithful friends and family.
Full of non-stop action in the typical Dresden way, also has a couple of turning points in the end, with new alliances being formed and a sad turn in Harry's personal life.
The series never disappoints and the narration is always A++

Dresden's revenge?

What did you love best about Turn Coat?

I love Dresden's mouthy style. No matter what situation he's in, he always has a smart remark.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bob. All knowing spirit or not, he's a supernatural lech and the comic relief.

What about James Marster’s performance did you like?

Everything. His Dresden is spot on and he brings all of the characters to life and makes you want the stories to just go on and on. Dresden, Molly, Michael even Mouse are very much alive when he reads them and I hate to leave them at the end of the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Can Harry and Warden Morgan bring down the Black Council?

Any additional comments?

There's a reason why the Dresden books are all best sellers, but James Marsters brings them to life in an unforgettable way.

Best Yet!

The characters are more multifaceted in every book. The only thing missing was Warden Ramerez.
