Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

the best of the best

You are reading the best epic fantasy series there is. period. It may take a while to get into it but you will. There are 2600 plus characters but don't get scared teenagers read this every day. You will know these peoples as "friends" and "enemies" and like your own family. Read by the dynamic duo of recitation kate reading and michael kramer... they pull it all together .. I switch genres just to listen to them... It [the series] is really one huge wonderful story broken into 14 too short books that nobody wants to see ended..I can not express how good these books are. I have started 16 different friends reading TWoT and they are all addicted. You think that maybe the books are enchanted some how???
If fantasy is your genre you have arrived....... paul t.

Finally, some plots are answered...

The first few...ok, many chapters takes place before gathering storm ended. It was confusing at first like time traveling to bits of Perrin and Rands story. I think Brandon made a mistake in taking a leap into Gathering Storm ending without delving first into what happened. Well, anyways, the story is finally tied up. Robert Jordan wouldnt have made this mistake. To the last battle...

Towers is amazing

Sanderson does a fantastic job of finishing the series. I hated the end, but only because I now have to wait another year for the true ending. I started this series late and 9 books were finished before I started but I immediately bought them all and read strait though. Towers is no less great.

4/5 only for a few over explained pieces here and there but that is knit picking.

Fantastic!

Would you listen to Towers of Midnight again? Why?

Yes. Mainly because it's a little while until the final book comes out, and I will likley need a refresher

What did you like best about this story?

After 12 books, it's really nice to see some plot lines get finalized; and they are all awesomely done.

What does Michael Kramer and Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Consistency. They are both great in their own right, but when used in combination, it really helps to set mood/expectation for what is to come.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried a few times; laughed a lot!

Any additional comments?

None needed :)

Almost there!

This is the penultimate book in the Wheel of Time series and the end has arrived. So good, it focused mainly on Mat and Perrin. this book was satisfying, this is the book you've been waiting for.
