Publisher's summary

Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?

"The world of Timeless is a unique recipe of steampunk and fantasy spiced with light sprinkling of romance. Its setting is rich for characters to romp about in, but the unbridled playfulness of the language and dialogue shines brightest."—Miami Herald

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Didn't want it to end, left wanting more.

Would you listen to Timeless again? Why?

For the humor and to revisit Carriger's fabulous characters, as well as, the finer details of the story.

What other book might you compare Timeless to and why?

I was looking for another enjoyable Supernatural series after finishing all the Charlaine Harris books and was happy to find this series. Totally different though and if possible funnier and more light hearted

Have you listened to any of Emily Gray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to the other books in this series. Book three was awful due to poor production, but this narrator is perfect, she gets better and better with the exception of book three and really makes this production.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but that would spoil the plot.

Any additional comments?

This is an intelligent and amusing series. I have been thoroughly entertained. The stories and characters seemed to strengthen with each book. So sad that this is the last one. I want more!!

Just...Awesome.

This installment of the Parasol Protectorate is, I think, the best - and that's saying something! I didn't think Carriger could top the last four books in the series, but this one is absolutely awesome - it had me laughing and crying and laughing again. Mostly laughing. A definite must-listen!!!

I've heard this is the last book Carriger will write starring Alexia, but I've also heard that Carriger may write a series featuring Alexia's daughter, Prudence, and this seems likely given a few plot developments.

Visit Carriger's site for extras like interviews with Alexia, Lord Maccon, and our favourite fashionable vampire.

Carriger does it again!

Carriger did a great job in this one! She finally really tied in the "Curious Case" short story about her dad and Egypt into her story, answered some of the vague questions about Flute, and developed Prudence enough to make me really want to listen to the next series, where I'm assuming Prudence becomes one of the main characters. I will admit that I read the entire Parasol Protectorate series before discovering that there is a Finishing School series that appears to be set before it. Either way, this was a great series, and a great conclusion that leave it open for more, as well as a comfortable change in either time or main character focus. Well done!
